101. Early Graduation from Battle Academy? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Yeah, I'd take a militia heavy suit out while your learning the sniping spots. And it generally takes a double tap to kill anyone - that's why some go the tactical sniper rifle - less damage on one shot but you can keep bashing the fire button and...

Interesting, Llast. I'll give that a try, if I can manage it (the guy seemed to swoop in on my position fairly fast (he had an elevated position, which kind of forced me into more traditional/known sniping spots instead of just being tucked away i...

106. Short controlled bursts out, spray and pray in? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I'm begining to think that rather than miss entirely when they spray, they hit but do not as great damage is someone who occasionally burst fires on them. So it's a far tighter window, but medium bursts, stop and realign (while strafing) then me...

There are two snipers on a hill - I try firing on one, and I just don't get anywhere - but his buddy just a few meters to the left, I hit him (I don't kill him, but doesn't matter). I even end up switching position dramatically, several hundred me...

109. Short controlled bursts out, spray and pray in? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Previously I'd do short bursts and would often see the pretty white lines of the other guys bullets spraying and not missing me. Now it just seems they continually hit and it's basically a DPS race. To stop firing at that point seems a bad idea. ...

Before the patch I got used to resisting long bursts - instead it was a matter of lining up where you could to do a short burst, and chewing down the other guy piecemeal (often while they did a long burst/wasted their shots) Now it feels like hol...

Thanks Reav - and I did sweep over those areas with my scope, because I'm semi familiar with them. But no luck - I don't know if that means they weren't there, or I missed them, or that there's a new system of dampeners and eyeballing and sweeping...
