It's the map with A to E objectives, with a space ship on a launch pad in the middle (I think it is - I was pretty surprised when I realised what the heck that thing was...)
I spawn on the D side in a domination match and I'm around the supply depo (which is just across the road in dom). There's a sniper there I just cannot find - got killed to many times looking.
It must have been from a relatively high perch. Looked at their MCC, didn't see anything. Looked along the high beams, didn't see anything.
Any tips? I didn't see any nano hive glows.
Also how's it work with sniping now? Is sweeping around not good enough to spot someone (does it not show you the chevron if you sweep over them), it all has to be done by eye? |

It can be tricky, as some snipers have the sense not to position themselves as part of the horizon line. Try active scanners and approaching from different directions. Knowing a sniper's blind spot can help to locate them.
Pay attention to the distance of the shot on the kill screen as well. |

If you're using a cheap fit, find a spot that give you the best view, if using something expensive like the Thales - redline but keep it fresh. |

If you want to discuss locations you can use the Map Feedback section since it has gridded battleground maps. I think you are talking about Ashland: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=80605
B4 and F13 make for some nice spots but there are more. You can keep the enemy off the pipes and still have good visibility of several objectives.
Don't forget to counter-sniper, especially those that may have used a dropship to get up into the launch pad superstructure. |

Thanks Reav - and I did sweep over those areas with my scope, because I'm semi familiar with them. But no luck - I don't know if that means they weren't there, or I missed them, or that there's a new system of dampeners and eyeballing and sweeping just wouldn't cut it. |
