If you have a chance check the leaderboards, not always possible, and if you a large number of WP's on the red team then find or stick closer to cover e.g. buildings or sometimes under bridges etc. Beyond that hope for uplinks as the spawn system...

In pure Ambush (50 Clones) that is pretty much it even with AV. 2 guys in tanks and 14 infantry can trash most AV players before you can take out the tank. In OMS you have a slightly better chance if you control a Supply Depot.
