I bought the Merc pack in Closed Beta I think sometime around July. I've made the unfortunate mistake of deleting characters and restarting, although I now consider this one to be my 'main'. I mainly bought the pack so I could get into the beta, as I had been anticipating this game for years. The rest was a bonus.
I haven't paid CCP a cent since simply because I don't see it being worth it in the long-run. The game's unpolished, unfinished, and not really all that much fun at times. I stay because they have a good concept, but suffer from poor execution, so I try and vocalise what I think the game needs, and overall treat the game as still in beta, because in my eyes, it still is. |

I still buy aurum to fund my desire for passive skill boosters. I have lots of expendable income in real life and I enjoy coming home from work and seeing all dat passive! |

I made a personal vow to not spend another cent on DUST until all four racial Heavy suits are in the game.
I've been playing with the exact same lego blocks for a full year now, and the rest of the game has changed and expanded quite a bit since then. It's high time for some new Heavy toys. (And no: Commando did not count.) |

Stopped buying aurum.
I bought all the mercenary packs (mercenary, veteran and elite)
Main reason I bought them was so I can be a jack of all trades guy. With standard suits and having weapons to compliment them would make me very useful. So far I own many guns:
Assault rifle level 4
Mass driver level 3
Forge gun level 4
Heavy machine gun level 4
Nova knife level 3
Scrambler rifle level 1
Sniper level 3
Flaylock level 5
Remote explosive level 3
And everything else is probably level 1.
My point is is this, pretty soon my forge gun will get nerfed. The Mass driver will get nerfed again and become highly unstable again. Everything that isn't a assault rifle gets nerfed. That's why I speced into it. So I wouldn't have to worry about my guns beinguunstable. Nerf this Nerf that Nerf everything please cause that's all I see |
