Leovarian L Lavitz Opus Arcana Covert Intervention 380	Posted - 2013.08.03 04:02:00 - [1] - Quote The AR is a hit-scan weapon which fires 750 rounds per minute as long as you hold the trigger down. Fighting with it is as easy as pointing it in an enemy's direction and letting them walk in front of it, boom dead. If they get frisky, do lots of hopping, all you have to do is swipe your hit scan laser pointer (ahem, AR) over them a few times, and boom, dead. It isn't OP, it is designed with easy button for those without skill to play the game. No bullet time, no need to lead the shots, large clip size, no overheat, long distance and high power. just swipe it over the enemy a few times, ???, profit. It may not have any draw-backs, and have great fitting stats, but it isn't over powered at all. It is simply easy mode. You can use it in all situations, you can actually hit things above you with it, (unlike explosive weapons), you can fire the entire clip without over heating, (unlike laser weaponry and heavy machine guns), you can ads with it for very accurate long range shots, it's great in a squad( just have the whole squad swiping their hit-scan weapon over the enemy a few times, ???, profit). As easy mode as it gets.

You need certain qualifications. To name one you need a strong trigger finger, I'm sure the tactic of pray n sprays really hard on the pointer finger, poor guys.

ScR has Overhaet management Pistol has a small clip and poor acuracy when moving HMG funcions poorly at range SMG, No skill needed spray and Pray AScR no skill FG charge time but easy to manage

It's designed** without the need to have any skill to use it, that's why it is on every single starter suit in the game. The devs know that it is easy mode, and deliberately made it so. Many people I know have tried the other weapons, but then went back to their ar because it is simply 'better'. It's so easy and simple to use, even you can use it, even I can use it. I haven't used a direct fire weapon in a long time; been suicide grenadeing people, nova knives (those got buffed, so straight melee people) or use pistols. Six months without an ar, and then pick one up and my kdr jumps between 9 to 17 per match. It's easy mode, get over it.

Back in the beta (edit: back when I had easy access to the following), lasers had their purpose (usually anus peak). Great at mid-midlong range, not so good anywhere else. SMGs and shot guns are good at open close range. Mass Drivers and Flaylocks are great in tight close range, snipers are great at long rangers etc., etc. ARs aren't easy mode. They are the median weapon, and the most comfortable weapon for most FPS players. Get over it.
