I think a good way to stop with MCC AFK is to eliminate the MCC deployment room completely. This means that when you select to spawn at the MCC, after the loading time is done, you will appear falling immediately. Thats right, that easy. If you dont "play" you will die hitting the ground...hehehehe and even if you decide to press x you will be ingame and might be more encouraged to do something or leave battle, but no more free sp isk for you my friend, either play or leave, no more MCC afk.
Thanks. |

And what would the people who assume a commander control do then? They wait in the MCC to organize the squads. |

He is right though, you wouldn't be able to AFK in the MCC anymore. |

Please justify how MCC afk is worth treating differently than anything else, or why it should be considered a distinct issue from AFK in general. |

I see more forum threads about stopping MCC afk than to stop outside MCC afk (i assume you mean red line afk). Still, red line afk still gives a chance to kill them, either snipe or ninja kill them before time runs out on your red clock. |

Yeah, you-¦re right, it has happened to me too. When approaching hatch i get stuck and can-¦t move. I pressed buttons and triangle made me crouch but able to deploy. Weird lol. |

Maybe not, but I still like this idea in general (not as a way to fix MCC AFK). At the very least make it happen more - I've had it happen to me a couple of times and it was like WTH - it was a bit of a rush to be honest - made me laugh and be thankful I was at least paying attention... hell of a way to lose a proto suit. |

I disagree. Its called MCC camping but its one and the same. Red line AFK does NOT offer you a chance to be killed, unless your teammate is pushing you out of the boundaries with an LAV somehow. The redline zone is big enough that its very simple to not be killed. its different from redline sniping since when sniping you're open to counter sniping and have to at least be near the field of play. If you're redline afk-ing the enemy will never be able to spot you, get a shot at you, or even know you're there.
Not to mention dropping out of the MCC and using your inertial damps is one of the signature effects of the game, even if people more often than not choose to spawn on the ground. |

I-¦ve read somewhere that red line is needed to regroup and deploy vehicles relatively safe. I guess you can-¦t take away the red line and you can-¦t force people to play, so, unless CCP removes you from the battle completely i don-¦t see how you can fix this. Any ideas lazy bear? |

Make the MCC a redzone, that way you have that time window to look around and plan but are eventually forced to drop down or die. |

You morons who complain about players afk'ing need to adjust your aim. It's not the players...it's the game. |

Any suggestion made other than to simply swap the SP gain to 5 SP per WP and 1 SP per second is a waste of time. They will never do those things and it is too much programming. |

A good way to stop mcc afking and afk in general is to zero out the sp gained by those in the red zone or mcc. Oh look, we solved the red line tanking/sniping issue too. |

Redline should simply be removed....I dont need an area of protection where the enemy cannot follow me. |

i've seen more than a fair share of ppl. suckin up free s.p. even i have done it not lieing, but there has got to be a way to where if they stand for to long doing nothing...well..like say if your sniper this wouldnt apply cause your scoping up and moving but...if you dont touch the controller for over 3 minutes..boot um'.....this is a very good thread post and i think ccp needs to get on this..it takes the fun out of the game also to have 9 people fightin in skirmish and the rest is sitting in the mcc or behind a wall in redline...
now that i think about it there really is no way to do that 3 min. kick then ppl. will just move every now and then...hmmmm theres gotta be a way... |

Its a perfect idea. You'll never stop AFKers, but at least take away the spot where they are immune to all harm. If you want to AFK, you have to do it where you can be accessible to harm. |

You have to fix the game in order to "fix" the players.
