They would be light vehicles with slow speed and therefore sitting ducks for the SL. There is no way they would be as fast as a LAV, so they would have to tank as much as a HAV or even a LLAV to even have half a chance.
Picture a heavy suit that can run as fast as a Scout that you can lock with AV. Fast, plus possible high jumping height due to jump jets (NOT the same as a jet pack). Sounds maneuverable enough, too. If it comes with a smash option, I'll use it against tanks. |

At fanfest CCP said new vehicles types were 12 to 18 months away, and that was the old roadmap. They weren't coming anytime soon anyway. |

It seems to me that 1.5 vehicle balance pass would be the perfect opportunity to get something like that in there and make sure it's in a good place. |

Should really release the concept art then so that we can at least look forward to it. There was mention of it at Fanfest and I'll quote:
"We aren't going to show them to you because we're not ready to"
Paraphrasing but none-the-less it would definitely help to have something nice to think about rather than speculation as to whether it's going to look like Mechwarrior (big, bulky and sort of stupid-humanoid looking) or Armored Core (streamlined, sleek and awesome) |

Perhaps at the next Fanfest, CCP could stick to telling us about forthcoming content that is a little more than a "sparkle in the eye". That way, our hopes and expectations might not be dashed quite so regularly. |

Yes, I hope their biggest problems are behind them. This way if we get a new roadmap, it'll be more accurate to what actually ends up happening.
Hopefully instead of QQing about previous fanfest info, everyone understands how and why things changed. Rather they should indicate how much they'd appreciate More communication. Which I think is only a good thing.

Will be able to talk a bit more about 1.5 soon once we've put 1.4 to bed and can solidify our plans. |

Armored core V was an amazing game if i forgot the title... but being that it was an "Armored Core" title... it didnt have the same beautiful feel to it that any of the PS2 titles had... something magical was lost. ofc, thats just my personal opinion. |

aye, that was all fun... but when it came down the the nitty gritty combat, all the pvp fights i had were long range affairs, it wasnt up close and personal like AC Last Raven seemed to be, the mechs in V almost felt weightless, when i was piloting on the PS2, i could almost feel the grind of metal through my controller... i really dont know how to explain it. its like, when im in a scout suit, i feel light and airy hopping around, and then a put on a heavy loaded down with plates, and, i can almost feel the weight behing that beautiful ceramic and steel. its truely something amazing when a game imerses you in that way, when you can feel what you character might be feeling. |

I liked the armored core games, but I can't remember if it was 4 or 5 where they cranked up the movement speed a crazy amount. I didn't like that so much. Started feeling more like zone of the enders... which was also a cool game, but a different game.
I like my mechs to feel heavy. Lighter, if I customize them that way, but by default heavy.
Speaking of heavy.... MTAC should only be pilotable by heavy suits. I have no justification for this other than screw everyone else. |

While I did enjoy those games, the latter was winnable by combining machine-gun arms with a shoulder-mounted rotary cannon as your left Back weapon, and then building entirely for speed.
Not a single enemy in the game could survive that. While I was struggling to put together a balanced build to handle multiple situations, my friend got S ranks in every missions on Normal and Hard within a few days. |

Well, I don't want to say because it probably will get me banned but I will say that I have it on good authority that he is no longer with CCP. |
