I have yet to hear a solid reason why these suits need a CPU nerf... Even the proto level one. We need to pay for our sins. and it makes all of the people who didn't spec into cal logi feel better lol. What do you do though.. adapt or quit. We've got so many nerfs and buffs ahead of us still... its not even worth stressing over anymore. I've pretty much taken Pyrex's advice in his latest video... if you are really stressed about these changes... probably time to step back and stop giving a damn. btw... oceania afk farming is perfect for finishing up electronics 5 while you have all your fittings invalid lol.
True, I should care less it just seems illogical to me.. But I think you are right, cal logi's are the most hated and therefore must pay the most according to public opinion I think. |

Looking over at my fits, it's not too bad, just upgrade the CPU mod.
BUT, saying that, LOL at all the other posters going, "You have 1 extra low slot, use it"
Sure, we have an extra low slot like the Gallente and Minmatar have an extra equipment slot |

True, Caldari logi's are not ment to be armour tankers... But it sure hamstrings the class when out of its very few low slots (due to shield tanking) you MUST use one of those for a CPU upgrade... That don't seem right. |

I honestly don't know how people could make fits without one anyways.
All of my fits use over 600 CPU. |

Yes for the Proto level it is very easy to slap on a CPU upgrade. I am more talking about the standard and advanced levels which have far fewer low slots to spare.
How do you fit out yours assuming you use std/adv suits for pub matches. |

ah yeah I gotcha.
Yeah I don't run std/adv suits.. not enough slots
I haven't fitted one in a long time... not even sure what the layout of either suit is anymore sadly... |

I told your ass to not use that OP suit if you wanted to play assault. should have went with the assault suit instead. |

Lol but since playing with the suit I have come to enjoy bring a true logi, yes my intentions at the start did not start out so pure... But that is why I can so easily give up the shield bonus we had ...... I am a reformed man. |

Atticus Wolf wrote:I mostly use my advanced level Caldari Logic suit so this Nerf really hits hard, I am fine with the shield nerf With 3x complex extenders, 1x basic plates, 1x enh regulator and a Gek, I can fit a std locus/flux grenade, K-2 nanohive, std droplink, and std injector and have 27 CPU left over with my skills. The new change is going to make fitting really really tight, and you have to choose between advanced weapon and advanced equipment basically.
But *HERE* is the thing. We are all in the habit of shoe-horning proto shield extenders onto every suit we use, and I don't think CCP is balancing for this.
For S&Gs I rolled an all advanced Cal Logi suit with 3x enh extenders, 1x enh plate, 1x enh reg, Gek, M1 nades, K-2 hive, K-12 injector, and R-9 drop uplink... my CPU is at 318/358 (Core/Electronics V, light wep III). So even with lower skills, a full advanced suit will be able to fit post-nerf.
The reality is, though, that people will be bumping extenders to proto as per usual and cutting corners elsewhere, most likely in equipment.
I'd like to see them scale advanced equipment a bit better TBH. Give enh extenders +44, enh needle a 55% revive, that kind of thing. It would also narrow the effects of proto gear in pubs that so many complain about. |

ZDub 303 wrote:I think the idea is that since we only have 3 equipment slots.. in order to keep our combat efficacy on par with other logi suits we should have had a CPU reduction.
Its really all I can think of.
its not a terrible nerf though... not for assault logis anyways.
390 Base CPU + Electronics 4 + Core Upgrades 4 + Enhanced CPU Module (25%) is 608.4 CPU 350 Base CPU + Electronics 5 + Core Upgrades 4 + Complex CPU Module (35%) is 614.25 CPU
You just need maxed out electronics now to maintain your old lifestyle. It also means you'll want to stick to nano circuitry based equipment as the skill provides a passive 5% CPU reduction per level.
At this point I'm just glad they didn't nerf our PG... otherwise there would be no way I could run any equipment.
Um you may want to check your math 350 + Elec 5 (+17.5 per level to +87.5 total) + Core Ups 5 (+3.5 per level to +17.5) ='s 455 CPU
Complex Elec Up ='s 35% of 350 which ='s 122.5
Which brings me to only 577.5 |

ZDub's math is correct.
The max CPU you can get on a post-nerf proto Cal Logi using one Complex CPU extender and Electronics/Core to 5 is 620 CPU. Pre-nerf is 691 CPU.
Electronics 5/Core 4 gives 614 CPU, post-nerf.
Not going to go into how this number is calculated; I used the fitting tool which has been spot on for CPU for me in the past. |

They are all multiplied.
(350)(1.25)(1.04)(1.35) = 614 CPU
I know this because i have 608 CPU right now on my cal logi and I have 4/4/enhanced mod. |

There are inherent drawbacks in each logistics suit:
Caldari - Lower CPU Gallente - Greater reliance on Armor Minmater - Lowest overall base HP Amarr - Least number of slots
Pick your poison. We all have issues to work through. |

Atticus Wolf wrote:I do have electronics and pg upgrades to five so I do have the maximum CPU And pg that you can have for the suit. It means I have to put a CPU upgrade into one of my lows, a regulator into my other low giving my very low armour
So now your actually the SAME as the assault? Now tell me again whats the big deal?
Edit: This is how I see the CPU nerf:
If the Cal Assault wants Armore Rep, he has to use a Module If the Cal Logi want Assault Like CPU, he has to use a Module
Your not BOTH anymore, deal with it!!

Its fine for Assault to have to use a CPU Upgrade to get a decent fit but not for Logis? Explain your logic? |
