I just tried a round with it.
It was great at distances but lacks the punch of an ar up close. Hell it lacks the punch of an smg up close.
Mighr spec into it though. With damage mods and high sp investment it might be ok. Scrambler rifle might be a better idea. |

If it had an optimal of 30m(currently 65m) to 95m(currently85m) it would be a much better weapon there are so many times that you get caught in a dead zone between your sidearm and your LRs optimal ranges. Not to mention that the places where you can get your perfect optimal is minimal. It forces you to stay out of city maps or camping on buildings. |

Lasers were as common as assault rifles near the end of chromosome. They were beastly, melting pretty much anyone and everything before you can even blink, as long as you know how to use it right. And best of all? You didn't even need to stay on the target, the damage was so high, swiping over them is enough to kill them. It needed a nerf, but CCP went too far. So let me get this straight: Lasers were as good as AR, and as used. And this was bad according to you? ... Hmmm...CCP logic u have there bro.... I never used Lasers myself as a main wapon,tried them out and sucked with them even in chromo... Im more of a scrambler rifle/AR/SMG/Shotgun guy., and i still think lasers need a rebuff...

Low skill to use, extremely high reward.
