Well the same could be said for snipers in a sense.
The forge gun is fun but can be a pain in the rear to use. Infantry can easily overwhelm the forge gunner and vehiles can basically run over the slow heavy using them. I'm personally not on here trying to take anyone's advantage they can get from them. I do find it sad people are either too lazy or too stupid to do the work and find their own counters to strategies and tactics others use. Next thing you know someone will ask the devs to play the damnable game for them. |

Hit detection is the only thing making the forgegun "OP" to dropships, as a hit from the right side could show as a hit from the front, completely screwing up my evasive plans, just by fixing that, I can help my squad hunt you down, so I can continue to help the objective.
on a side note, swarm trails are almost always invisible to me, this also makes it harder for me to predict potential threats |

I don't get guy the scrubs don't get it yet; What we mainly complain about is the fact that the PROTO ones are OP. They are just straight up OP. ADV is slightly, but not really. STD is perfect, because if 2-3 of them is used, it can take a HAV out as easily as a PROTO one could. And if your good enough, you can even do it by yourself (although it will take a good AV player that can think outside the box to do this). If we got rid of the PROTO and STD, then raised the player count to have extra people having AV, then there would be no problem. Wait, there's a term for this.... Ah! TIERCIDE |

I would personally like to see the damage reduced on the assault variant. Not being able to hold the charge, ( actually increases dps), is not enough of a trade off for an increase in damage and fire rate. This gun is too powerful, the other variants are fine as is |

I have been on both ends on the assault forgegun. And for it to have more damage and a higher fire rate than the charge holding variant is silly. If your shots gone let go of the trigger, it only take a little more than one second to shoot again. I am not recommending it be lowered more than the kal forge just have it have the same damage. |

LOL. I actually DONT use the Assault variant since holding the charge results in WAY more accurate fire. With an Assault FG you end up wasting a lot of ammo vs infantry at the advantage you can take out vehicles faster. The breach is almost useless as Anti infantry weapon and Vehicles alike, unless they are standard LAV's or Dropships. The Regular Forge guns Are best because they let you aim and get an effective shot.
Out of 16 shots , i connect 13-14 of them. With the assault i connect out of 16, about 4-6 of them, but take out vehicles faster. The breach , well.uhm... nothing... |
