So not only is CCP stealing 2.5 million SP from me, but also 2+ months of playing the game grinding away every single week to reach the cap (I rarely use boosters). Despite the mass rejoicing of our impending doom, nobody can claim this to be fair and reasonable (unless they're trolling of course ). EDIT: was 2 months, not 6. Or you could just play as a logistics suit instead of assault suit #2. |

Oh cry me a river. Logi suits are still the go to suits, even after the nerf. Now they're just less so.

What is unfair and unreasonable is one suit being so much better than everything else, if you were foolish enough to burn your SP on a suit, not thinking it would be nerf...

So this is now a waste of SP? The suit's still pretty damn great, so I don't see what you're crying foul over we all saw this coming. As for big nerfs, you remember when Heavies had almost respectable amounts of HP, or when Tanks won everything? Those got nerfed WAY more than this, and even though the tanks kindof deserved it you can't say that the CalLogi didn't either. Spec into Flavor of the Month, you get burned. If they accidentally gave the Scythe a 1000% bonus to medium projectile turrets, you think they'd respec those of whom spent points on it?
*I speak of the early nerf somewhere around E3 build, not the recent 'nerf' that removed Marauders.* |

Anyone who disagrees is automatically a troll." You talk about a "volatile development period" as if this is some kind of temporary thing. Its not. Eve has been undergoing serious rebalancing for the last 2 years, and it just passed its 10 year anniversary. And no SP refunds there either.
Thats a load of BS we know CCP has given refunds to ship categories in the past, they havent given full fledged respecs but have definitely done partial refunds. |

God-Honest Truth:
If you are really hell-bent on keeping your CalLogi suit on being pure combat, it really has not lost almost any effectiveness.
Your EHP went down, sure, but you can now build the suit to still have a high amount of EHP and have a really absurd recharge rate that will allow you to recharge after just a split-moment of not taking fire, so in any area with even the slightest cover your suit is even harder to kill then it ever was, like the super-recharge scouts of old. |

I wouldn't call it nerfed into uselessness. I took it against a squad of Team Players and didn't do terrible, considering I was on a team of blueberries. The catch is that I actually use it as a support suit. It isn't the same, for sure, but I don't think it's useless. The CPU nerf was unwarranted, but losing the 300 or so HP didnt make me awful...just less of a take-heavies-on-by-myself to a regular joe with average powers.
These changes haven't deployed yet... *eats popcorn* Tectonic Fusion wrote:Phantom Vaxer wrote:Another whiner. Hey...psst! You should've saw this coming as you know...Logi's aren't meant to tank with over 500 shield. They're suppose to be SUPPORT not bullet sponges. It isn't useless you can now recover your shield faster. Trading tanking for recovery which is fitting for a SUPPORT role. How are we suppose to help you if we die faster? Then we are just pointless people who die and are herp a derp scrubs because we cant match 200 ehp Wait, so you are supposed to have more health than a heavy because you're in a support role? Then what the hell happenned to the other Logi suits!? Who said we should have more health than the heavy? I agree that the heavy deserves a nerf. I mean it only took me like 3 complex damage mods on a duvolle to kill him as fast as everyone else thats tanked. And all the other logistics are amazing. They have a unique playstyle individually. The caldari logi is now in the same tier as the rest of the logis (gallente is better now though), but maybe a little worse because it cant fit as much. |

Despite the mass rejoicing of our impending doom, nobody can claim this to be fair and reasonable (unless they're trolling of course ). EDIT: was 2 months, not 6. Exagerating much ? "Nerfed to uselessness, even for real logis" Gtfo. I did some math with fitting tools 3 weeks ago when i got the info from Remnant. And the Cal Logi very much remains the most powerfull logi in the mix. I'm amazed by how many people i see crying about their favorite OP toy. You should have thought twice before skilling into this suit and use it to a different purpose than what it's made for in the first place. ESPECIALLY, when there's been a respec between now and the beginning of Uprising. As for all those who cry "respec here, and respec there". Know that i will roadblock those demands as hard as i can. Why ? First because i'll enjoy collecting tears and second because those kind of adjustments are gonna be VERY frequent. And we cannot have a respec anytime someone has his precious thing tweaked. But seriously, go cry us a river OP. So sad your suit cant go over 1K HP anymore. So CPM as an unelected body now has the power to block actions because they dont like it? When did CPM usurp so much control and influence over the community at large? Thought there job was to roadmap the development based on our feedback and get the guidelines in place for CPM1. The fact there are going to be frequent changes is precisely why there need to be respecs offered at the very least in the form of partial refunds of SP spent in the areas where changes are made mainly because you are asking players to spend SP during a volatilie development period with no certainty that what they are speccing into today will be the same thing they specced into a month from now. Now keep in mind CPM is getting advanced details of these changes and they are being held to NDA as evidenced by Hans' blog. Sorry but I dont trust CPM to be the only ones to give CCP feedback on upcoming changes they plan regarding BALANCING, i like CPM and dont discount they work hard but CPM is quickly becoming a filter to the community when they are getting details like pendiing changes like this to gear and being held to NDA on it. I dont blame you on this fact but there is a reason why we want detailed information ahead of the changes so we can give feedback BEFORE implementation often because we are able to accuarately predict what the results will be well ahead of use. Also keep in mind CCP plans to change all the racial bonuses for the logis in the future to revolve around equipment efficacy at which point a refund will be necessary as these bonuses will likely have had a direct impact on the decisions made by players had it been available to them at the beginning. Moreover its absolutely prudent that CCP discuss with the COMMUNITY not CPM what those changes are going to be and to what level so they can give clear and precise feedback as to whether they are good or not. Failure to do so and to use CPM as the filter and the stop gap that gives feedback on gampeplay and gear balancing is simply unacceptable and one of the reasons many players were against a CPM to begin with. Edit- TBF wont hang your comments on the whole of CPM, but i will hang CCP's use of CPM as a filter for creating the mentality that the CPMs opinions are of greater value then the communities at large, In some peoples minds anyway. I respectfully disagree with you. He has a right as a representative of the people to attempt block respec cries, it isn't good for the community. The community is full of people who wish to complain.
If they give respecs now, then everyone will except them everytime something changes. That is not adapting, which is a very strong message given to all residents of New Eden.
If I was a CalLogi I would view as a chance to prove that I am still just as dangerous without those extra shields as I am with them. They are still strong, just not OP. |

Everything gets nerfed at some point. Everything gets buffed at some point. In EvE it's accurate to say "everything gets it's day in the sun"... and I would image that true of DUST as well. Any change they make is going to hurt someone and help others. I myself respeced into Scout V just before the last round of changes... should have read the forums but meh, it'll come around again. My advice would be don't over specialize.
Also w/ regards to the heavy suits, I don't think they need a nerf. Yah they are tough as hell... but they are slow as hell too. I don't pull out a heavy suit often. It's just not that great a suit unless you are playing strictly D, or you have a logi spamming drop-uplinks right next to the next objective. |

Your losing 90HP (assuming you put 5 shield extenders in) you'll still have 585 HP....... Which is like..... good. Other then that you get 20 less CPU, but you also have like Four low slots that you can use for things like idk..... CPU/PG upgrades. Your suit was hardly touched, and for all intensive purposes you should be grateful CCP didn't break the suit like they do most things they "nerf" Seriously..... you feel like you wasted 2.5 million SP because CCP is taking away (at most) 90 HP from you? Really? Well I mean..... if you cant be a pseudo god in this game I guess its not fair :/ |
