your in a squad. you work your ass off and your squad leader uses the orbital strike. its a group effort to earn stike's but your squad commander reaps the benefits.
it would be nice if everyone in the squad got to share in the success of a strike. rather than 50wp per kill to the SC it could be 10sp each to squad members or equal share of points to each member
on a plus side this also gives an incentive to be in a squad and not solo |

only if the squad commander has you or a target tagged. if not you get the same as everyone else. its not a big incentive to join a squad alone so having this aswell would be good. alot of people dont join squads because alot of the random commanders are just after orbitals and easy kills. you do the work and they reap the benefits.
its squad earned so make if beneficial to the squad |

Would be nice to see the squad bonus applied to all members that squad up automatically, have a larger WP bonus to highlighted objectives and the WP from orbital kills applied to all members of the squad.
Since WP = SP, it would offer plenty of incentive for everyone to "squad up" at the start of a battle. |

imo, each squad member should get orbital points BUT the orbital points should NOT count towards another one. This way, players are encouraged to join squads even at random

I can get behind this. People really need to squad up more and anything that in-turn grants more sp is a good thing for me. |

Create your own squad and set the defend order on yourself. You get all the WP + the commission. Plus you might learn how to be a squad leader.
Nothing could be better.  |

What you are talking about is an UNHEALTHY competitive spirit with your OWN squad leader.
Good squad leaders are often responsible for the victory and success of the whole squad/team. I have no problem rewarding them for it. You'll also find that many of those good leaders will send ISK to tankers and other players who sacrifice for the victory.
Think of the times when a squad leader isn't in the fray, but instead is coordinating recon and strategic movement on the map. Those guys who are good at it also deserve to be paid. |

they still get the kills, they still get a share of the wp, they still get the praise for landing that great strike. where does unhealthy competitive spirit come into it.
my kills and the rest of the squads kills are gaining the squad leader his strike in which he is the only one who benefits from it. is it not right that everyone who contributes towards a strike should benefit from it. everyone who hacks something gets a share of wp, everyone who helps kill someone or destroy something gets a share of the wp so why not the whole team from an orbital.
if someone wants to solo then thats upto them but to promote people squadding up together then this would be a good start. i don't squad in pub's and FW when i'm alone because why should i help some random earn extra kills and wp. there just isn't any benefit to me to do it. |

I don't really care, personally. As long as it helps the team, does it really matter who gets the points and stats for kills? Besides, the points go towards your next strike anyway, so why complain? |

I'd settle for 5WP but regardless, this is a nice incentive to join/form a squad.
WP gained from a merc kill should not count towards another orbital but installations and vehicles destroyed should imo |

I'm usually always the squad leader and I feel really bad every time I call in an OP because I know my squad mates are getting nothing for it.
Cool fact - if you call in an OB then get in a vehicle that guy should get vehicle assist points, as found out yesterday. |

In modern militaries, the squad leader usually has maybe 2-3 magazines of ammo on him (compare to 8-12 for a regular grunt) because his job isn't to kill, but direct the people under his command, maneuvering fire teams into advantageous positions and coordinating rushes. Assuming everything goes right (it never does) he should barely have to shoot, if he has to even shoot at all. I agree that everyone should benefit from orbitals, but the squad leader should get the lions share of wp because he has to know where an orbital would best serve the mission. |

They should just take the total WP you'd get from the strike and divide it equally among the squad, instead of the leader getting it all. Don't get me wrong, I love to get 300 WPs from OBs, but it really isn't fair to the squad. |

I agree with the division of WP on equal terms with all squad members.
To further encourage squads, give a small bonus to the leader per kill (maybe 5 WP per kill) if the squad is complete (6 people).
A problem that comes from this (for KDR players) is who gets the kills; I would still assign the kills to the leader and making it assists for the rest of the squad. |

Squad leaders do not get commissions on their own actions - only of their squad. |
