Almost as if this was a game, and the primary goal was to promote quick and easy fun gameplay. Imagine that. Truer words were never spoken. |

It takes me less than 5 minutes to get a squad and enjoy the game with competent people. Sometimes we can sway a battle even with the worst blueberries imaginable.
Join a real corp. Get on voice. It will help |

Yes, sometimes I do end up in squads with competent or kind people, often both. But more likely than not, I end up in Instant matches with people who put minimal effort into it, because of overbearing opposition.
While joining a corp. isnGÇÖt out of the question someday in the future, I rather play the game when I have the time, do some quick rounds and then log off without binding myself to timeframe. Again; this is a game.

Cenex Langly wrote:To be honest I don't care about how butt hurt you are with the match making. I started playing in January, during beta. I spent the last... 5 months or so getting my A** kicked EVERY SINGLE MATCH. I endured, just like the rest of my friends on this game. We all got our A**** kicked every single match while we learned to play, while we earned our SP, while other players who were playing for months and months before we joined had way more SP than us. This is just how it is. Do not use the anaology that in EVE it is not the same way. You have zero experience in EVE. In EVE an freshly created character with less than a million SP will join an epic fleet battle with his rifter and warp scrambler and die 25 times and still come out on top. It's the same as in DUST.
There are two things you need to do to improve your game play. The first is to accept that you are behind. Once you've accepted it, then you can move on. the second thing you need to do is find a group of players, i.e., a corporation, and squad with them, so you are not playing solo, or with other noobs. You need to play with other people that can balance your team out.
In D.A.R.K L.E.G.I.O.N we require everyone to run in squads. Our players, yes even 2 week old players, will squad with guys who are 5-6 months old. This is to balance them out and help them enjoy their game play. They may still go negative because they haven't learned what the heck is going on yet but they aren't going through it alone.
Join a group, play with veteran players and stop crying about the hard times. We all went through it, even the veterans.
You clearly have no experience in EVE either.
EVE has hi-sec for a reason. It gives players the ability to learn the mechanics in a SAFE and CONTROLLED environment. There is no hi-sec in Dust. We are thrown directly into the equivalent of nullsec for training. In fact, nullsec PVP is the only analogous combat Dust has right now, even the training!
Yes, in EVE a million sp player can join an epic space battle IF HE SO CHOOSES. However, Dust gives us no choice in the matter. It's PVP or don't play.
PVE needs to be implemented, because just as it is in EVE, we need PVE to fund our fighting in PVP. That's what carebearing is for, dammit! So we can replace our losses from PVP! |

This is so true guys. PVE would help this game TREMENDOUSLY. There are more people who just quit this game because they get stomped. What's fun about getting your ass kicked every match? Dust academy sucks. They don't let you spend enough time in there. If Dust had NPC missions to run like in EVE, people would have more fun. PLUS they can learn a lot better than just playing against veteran players AND they don't go broke after just one match. PVP should be available only in low sec space. While in high sec, you should be able to run missions. CCP needs to look more into PVE. It would bring in A LOT more people. |
