"What do you mean you didn't know that planet had orbital defense systems!?" "We were set up!" well one day dust might at least have high end fancy gear like these revenants. it's only fun if they can blow up our rare **** to. I can't wait until we do cool stuff like fight the Devs in Jovian or CONCORD gear. If you think it's OP, let's just say they really need it.... hmm.......the devs could take a pc district for themselves I supposeand have an open attack order on the planet to take it from them. i.e as soon as one battle ends another corp can try. Making it even more fun (or give them a fighting chance) the could have access to stuff we don't have yet as a preview like fighter jets, MTACS, EWAR, and a player controlled MCC. Just imagine going into a skirm and the damn MCC starts moving when null points start getting taken over. A lot of mercs would **** their pants.
Holy crap, 1.2 made me excited about this game again |

The Revenant is a Sansha's Nation Supercarrier released with the Incursion expansion.
In comparison with the other Supercarriers the Revenant is a bit of a blend between the Caldari Wyvern and the Gallente Nyx. The slot layout, CPU, powergrid and base stats are similar to the Wyvern though it trades a medium slot for a high slot and it has a bit more powergrid, and due to the Wyvern's shield resistance bonus it can out-tank the Revenant.
The damage and HP bonus to fighters and bombers puts it on-par with the other supercarriers in terms of damage. Using five Drone Control Units to allow for maximizing drone bandwidth with bombers, the Nyx will still slightly out-damage the Revenant but the Revenant will out-damage any other supercarrier. However, when it comes to using the basic drones the Revenant falls short since its role bonus to damage doesn't apply to them and its bonus to launch quantity is only at a standard Carrier's level.
basically yes, it is under powered compared to other super carriers. what makes it so special is it's rarity , there are only 2 right now in existence after that one was destroyed |

CCP learn what a game should be and maybe more people will play it. EVE is not fun. It's a grind for nothing.

They keep increasing the playerbase so you are already wrong in the first line. They say to gtfo to keep the casual players away who just sticks to a game only for 2-3 months whining about everything then leaves. Many mmos focused on that group and they failed miserably.
Eve is fun but on a different level than you are expecting it to be.

Dang, nice report. Really puts it into perspective. Truth be told, most of that went over my head but I got the jist of it. It's a crazy universe we play in. I really hope one day in the future I can do something to kill a Revenant.... |

Getting an accurate reading of the playerbase of EVE is an exercise in futility considering how many people have multiple alts so saying the keep increasing the playerbase is as accurate as saying the player base will never increase |

Honestly there will probably never come a time Dust players can do anything about Revenants, they would never be anywhere near, let alone involved in a Planetary Conquest. And even if you could shoot at a Revenant (there are only 2 now in Eve's entire universe), you would do about .0001% dmg to it with whatever tool we get to fire at Eve players with. |

A see a lot more fresh blood in my alliance than burned out vets. Most people have 2-3 accounts. It's pointless to go higher unless someone is a botter or just simly mulitboxing. But their numbers are marginal.

Although in all seriousness, it would be cool if somehow we could go into matches set in the scenario that we're rushing through the ship to get to the cabin and take out the capsuleer from the inside, and there could be PvE mobs that the pilot chose to protect his ship that fight the Dust Bunnies. But alas, the possibility of that is so far in the future it's even near ridiculous to speculate about. But.. we can always dream.. right? |

Though what's up with all the people trashing on this? Resorting to name calling and other acts of belittlement to someone who shares our same hobby? Keep in mind everyone here is at least reading a forum for a videogame. So what if it seems ridiculous to get upset about pixels, it's his form of entertainment. What if you snowboarded as a hobby, rode on some decent boards but have been saving up for years to get some super awesome gear. Then your friends tell you to try riding down some mountain without really scoping it out, and you end up breaking your board. "Relax dude, it's just a plank of wood. Your life will be ok." What's the difference?
Truthfully I think it's awesome that there even exists a videogame that has super rare or expensive items that you must make some real plans if you ever wish to obtain it, knowing you could potentially lose it. Nearly every videogame out there is "give it a month or two at most and you can have whatever you want."
At the same time, I love the reaction of the guy who said he is giddy, that is an amazing attitude. |
