For fun, I ran about 10 or so pub matches with two Militia Scrambler Pistols on a Militia Caldari medium frame.
My reaction was that of genuine fun. Laying out Heavies with 3 to 4 shots to the head is even more satisfying than blasting someone away from across the map with my FG.
I now am considering running an ADV medium suit with dual ADV Scrambler Pistols as my main fitting. Once I build up enough skill points, I will put my HMG/FG Heavy on hiatus. With that said, what are your thoughts on the SP? My opinion?

Its such a damn good weapon, I find the clip size too small to count on it as a primary weapon but as a quick switch hold out to save your ass against one enemy or finish off a couple wounded ones its amazing |

Back in Chromosome I used to run a scout with dual scrambler pistols, was so much fun. Sadly now with the introduction of the Commando suit I have abandoned the scrambler pistols. With 2 light weapon slots I have been running around with the scrambler rifle and used the second as an excuse to carry a laser rifle. If only there were a suit with 2 light weapons and 1 sidearm. |

The militia variant showed me great promise and I can only expect better things from the STD and ADV versions. I also agree on the clip size, but running dual Scrambler Pistols with the new improved weapon change speeds seems to work just fine if you can find cover to do some quick reloads in between firing. |

Back when I ran dual scrambler pistols I found that it was the ammo capacity holding it back from being a true primary weapon, not the clip size. |

Switching in between them and reloading is bearable; running out of ammo faster than spraying and praying with an AR is not. |

This weapon falls into the "awesome if you have the skill" weapon. It's not underrated, just takes some genuine skill to pull off proper shots. Especially with how broken aiming is in Uprising.
Flaylocks are the exact opposite, they don't do as much DPS, but holy **** are they easy to use and are still damn powerful. |

You are my hero. Thanks for the link. I have nowhere near 2.5 mil to invest (I got my HMG proficiency to level 5 today just because), but I will consider your build for when I do have enough skill points saved up.
I am so anxious to try out a dual pistol build that I'm on the verge of screaming out "RESPEC!" |

I run adv and proto pistols on my adv and proto forge heavies. Headshots are good fun but even body shots do massive amount of damage, not to mention you get 11 shots in a clip. |

Eh, I feel the same way about the Carthum Assault Scrambler Pistol as I do about the Carthum Assault Scrambler Rifle, which is coincidentally the same way the first comment in the link feels. It takes up way too much CPU/PG for what is only a marginally better weapon. Not to mention the differences in cost. I say you are better off using a standard or advanced version while still leveling up the skill for the +1 clip size per level (best weapon operations skill bonus ever!) and working on proficiency.
Also with my Commando suit I notice the passive bonus for reload speed applies to sidearms as well. It sounds silly, but this thread has got me considering doing a dual pistol commando fit. Since I already have the skills (well, may Scrambler Pistol Ops is only at 2) I will buy a few of these trial fits and come back here with feedback. |

From what small amount of matches I played, the dual pistols worked well with the assault suit.
I purposely veered from Scouts because they are squishier than ever and Heavy frames seem too slow to emulate the twitch FPS style I was gearing towards. If the commando works well with the pistol combo, then I'd like to see a little demo of it in action. |

The commando has better movement than a basic heavy but still not enough to make dual pistols viable. Enemies can easily break out of range of the pistol while still in range for their AR. The reload speed is faster but only marginally. may be worth it if you want to put it in one of the sidearm spots, but definitely not both. |

That's a shame.
On lighter note, my dual pistol setup has been doing quite well.
I have noticed that they really hold their own in 1v1 CQC settings; against ARs and SMGs, they shine. With the proper amount of back pedaling and strafing, every bullet that hits, hits hard (even without complex damage modifiers). What I find interesting is that a well-placed headshot always seems to spook opponents into retreating. I am unsure if the loss in all their shields makes them go "What the hell just hit me" but the moment they hesitate to fire back usually results in them eating dirt.
On the other hand, Shotty Scouts are a 50/50. The speed at which they close distances will sometimes get the better of me, but 2 or 3 decent shots is enough to drop them. However, my favorite match-ups have to be against HMG Heavies. Their slower movement speeds makes performing headshots easier to do whilst also providing a challenge because of their durability.

It's nearing a week since I began experimenting with this build. Thus far, my experiences with the Scrambler Pistol have only gotten better.
Breach SP + Complex sidearm modifiers + Decent Amount of strafing + Headshot = Overkill
It doesn't matter what gear setups opponents have; the Breach will consistently drop reds with utmost ease. Two shots to the head is all you need. |

The most hilarious moments are when they engage you laughing at your puny little pistol thinking their AR is oh so good...and then lose pretty much all shields in one go. They always seem to retreat confused after that happens...which is great because you can then shoot them in the back |

The breach scrambler pistol gets some crazy damage, it also feels like it has a more relaxed cadence as well, makes you less inclined to spam the trigger and makes you take your time. |
