Given the goodwill capital they had from gamers going into this project that is flat-out astounding. Bad decisions were made in Shanghai - a long string of very good decisions is now required to haul you ass out of the fire CCP. Who is you best decision maker?

Basicly If CCP does not start introducing patches with hotfixes every day and new content each week , the game is going to die EVEN before the PS4 is released ... That last 1.3 patch was pathetic ... It was the first time I see a "major" patch in a game named 1.X to be 30MB Not only that but they ruined more than they repaired ... It's like they are mocking players or testing their patience . Everyone I know in the game has either quit after 1.3 or is about to quit before october if new content and fixes are not introduced . As of yesterday there is almost none in my CORP and ALLIENCE chat compared to other days before (and it was SUNDAY) ... The game is bleeding people so fast that soon only the LAV race drivers will be still here They should release 1.4 imidiatly to shut peoples mouths for a while untill they finish "the big" 1.5 and that all should take place in the next 2-3 weeks till the end of the month ... As of now I have reached a treshhold . My patience was running away days ago but my boosters were still active . Today they are no longer in such a state . I was thinking of buying ELITE pack now but that won't happen till I see some progress . With regret and great sorrow ... I am going back to spending most of my time in EVE ... Atleast the CCP DEVs still give **** about this game which IMHO can't be easily proven for DUST 514

Between their inexperience with the console market, Sony looking over their shoulder, and how ADHD FPS consumers are, it's never going to happen. But if they fire out updates 11 times a year and the don't repeat another Uprising again, Dust 514 will at least be able to compete. It may never be the best, but as long is it's one of the best, that will be enough to keep me coming back. On a side note, if they can get the Carbon engine to work on PS4... all of my money, just all of it.... +1 They actually can, but maybe they won't. And, anyway, if they don't move on developing Dust on ps4 they'll lose many potential customers that, when bored, will play one of the few f2p titles at launch. Anyway i totally agree with the OP. But, I think they're working hard too, they just didn't prioritize well. A game should be fun every time you play it, game modes, hackable things and many other stuffs are more important than graphics, HUD, hell, i think they're even more important than balance. MAG, MGO used to be really really unbalanced (remember SVER maps MAG vets?) but at least they were funny!

I don't think the release of the PS4 will be the biggest killer, but it will slowly bleed away whatever players are left if there is nothing new (PVE, Eve interaction, etc).
