i'm still waiting for an official statement regarding access to normal multiplayer for new games like we are currently getting for free. the OP's video is about shared games and the arstechnica screen shot is about what you get with PS+. is "immersive multiplayer" the cross game chat?

i would really like a quote or source that actually says something like "if you buy a new online FPS for PS4, you'll need PS+ to play it online", not "multi play"Gäó not "immersive multiplayer"Gäó. if someone comes across such a source today please reply back here. i'll be keeping my eyes out for one as well.

You still get the PS+ Benefits (17 Games a year, discounts, Betas .etc) Its not like you're just getting online.

Although, with this extra money, I hope Sony put it towards securing PSN (Dont want a repeat of last year), increases PS4 download speed, I get 1.5mb/s on Steam (A free service) and around an average of 500mb/s (Sometimes worse) on PS3.

And one last thing, I really hope once one person in a household or one account on the PS4 has PS+, every account or member of the household get to go online, anything else is a huge rip-off.

(I also hope the PS4 comes bundled with a year or even a month of PS+, just because I want it to )

$50/year + discounts for purchases, free games, online storage and early access to betas doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Not like I'm planning on paying anything for Dust 514 anytime soon...

It's 60 bucks a year for an eksbawks live gold membership... Just saying. PS+ is getting off cheap.

and i can do that on my pc for free why pay for internet and then have to pay to use on your machine. Its pretty freakin stupid exactly the reason i hate xbox and luv ps3. well i guess i going purily pc then if thats the case.

If you do go purely PC, I recommend that you primarily stick with Steam. You'll enjoy yourself a lot more that way.
You could check out EA's Origin if you'd like, but they do next to nothing against hacks and... well, it's Ea so be sure to take your kneepads and K-Y jelly with you.

At the moment I play on both the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Mac. In all probability I will be dropping my Xbox gold subscription as I am currently not that impressed with the Xbox One as a games machine.

The reason, many years ago, I went with the Xbox was the controller. I absolutely hate the DS controller you get as standard with the various versions of the Playstation. They were just so small and awkward, even painful, to use for lengthy periods of time.

So if I move from Xbox to Playstation it will be no big deal moving my subscription as well. But before I buy the PS4 I will wait to see what controllers become available.

I assume there is a reason for it but I never understood the reason why Sony stuck with that 1 controller design for all these years. If third party designers could produce Xbox like controllers then why couldn't Sony.

Do you as FPS players prefer the DS3 controller over an Xbox controller clone produced by a third party for the Playstation?

And I realise many prefer KB&M over any controller but this question is for those who use the controller most if not all of the time.

Did you mean "play" it? And, why would it brick? That has to be the stupidest rumour I've heard so far.

Planetside 2 and DCUO won't need Plus to be playable. Sony has said it is the call of the publishers whether or not their games will be infront of or behind the paywall.

The only black mark is thet PS+ sub but with what you get which is what free games every month/beta access/cloud saves so if PS4 break you dont lose your saves/discounts but since ive decided to boycott EA games i save at least -ú50 which can go on then PS+ instead which i will use

You could decide to buy the XBOX 1984 with TV instead, just make sure you have doritoes and dew in the room so the kinect can see it
