Empyrean Age was decent and includes many of the same characters you read about in Templar One. It is about the events leading up to the current inter-factional warfare that started a few years ago. If you liked Templar One, you will probably enjoy Empyrean Age. Burning life was written by a different author and had mixed reactions. The writing just...isn't that good. The character development is really where it falls flat. Not a single person you'll encounter in the book ever seems to have more depth than a particularly thick sheet of cardboard could provide.
