And you stated that you fought mercs with much more skill points then you good job this is when barely anyone had proto and even instant battles were easy in a militia suit. These battles don't exist anymore out side of the academy and mercenary battles. So good job stumping on other militia if you were stripped of all your sp today you would change your tune quick. Don't worry I would help by adding my obviously good ideas like expanding the academy and vet only battles. |

I feel like I'm talking to a little boy when I have to constantly remind you that you are still taking my posts out of context because you lack the ability of comprehension. It's not that I can't walk you though each sentence and explain the logic and how it relates to the thread as a whole, you're simply not worth it.
Every shoddy attempt of a rebuttal you make relies on misinterpretation, pure assumptions, personal attacks, comparing apples to oranges, e-peen stroking, and a holier-than-thou attitude that make religious extremist look sane. On this note, you are a complete disgrace to the State and should participate in the tea Makers ceremony.
If one were to bother searching for your past posts, they would see that you are incapable of taking criticism and respond to anyone that disagrees with you by throwing tantrums like a little boy. So rage on little firecracker boy. Your tears fill my cup with sweet nectar and your rage warms it. |

Your saying I am attacking you personally but it's exactly what you do in every single one of your post we obviously disagree on the subject. You think new players should loose so bad they should quit the game I feel they should be given somewhere to go to first gain sp then play more difficult players. I also feel veterans or older players should be given a veteran only battle to keep them out of instant battles and allow them to face off equally against other vets.
Your post are completely out of line and the fact that you are trying to beat me on the internet is pathetic especially since I am only trying to post a thread that will make this game more enjoyable.

I must wholeheartedly agree with giving us veterans of dust a place to play because this is supposed to be a mmo and right now it feels like battlefield's futuristic red headed stepchild instead of an mmorpgfps. we need fixes for mcc afk farming we need fixes for PC lag we need matchup balancing because most of us come from playstation fps games like Call of Duty, Kill Zone, Battlefield, and medal of honor and these games require a lot more skill than Dust 514
PS: i am sick of hearing how ruthless new eden is. if thats the case let us blow up peoples spaceships and space stations or board and capture someone's spaceshipand sell it that would be ruthless |

If the problem you have is facing off against too many players who use proto gear as a crutch, I agree. People should be allowed to run their proto fit whenever they feel like it; but losing their proto fit should cost them enough to consider the risk of losing it. This just isn't the case at the moment. Players are just too rich and proto gear too cheap. Even if a player runs out of isk from burning through too many proto fits, they can always fall back on their unlimited supply of starter fits. We as players have no consequence for being without isk and are not discouraged in the least from running our most expensive gear.
PS: I have around 8mil SP at the moment, only run standard/militia gear, and have killed and have been killed by people running proto gear many times. This is the answer. Fix the problem at the source |

This thread details some ideas that may reduce the blood pressure of noobs and vets alike as it allows what you are suggesting within a structured way for vets and noobs to party together on the battlefield. Vets don't like easy fights and new players don't like bashing heads with vets all the time but there is a way to do it so that we can all play together and have a "fair" battle ground. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=972461#post972461 |

I don't like basing games on meta gear makes no since to me it should be based on allocated or total skill points. |

I think battles should have gear or meta levels, just like equipment, weapons and modules do, say there's regular matches where only STD gear can be spawned, matches for ADV gear and then free matches where you can boast around in proto-gear, that way both veterans and newbies can be happy and get to choose how to participate in battles. Maybe that would create virtual tiers or hangouts, you know, groups of players frequenting one match level, which would reduce the pool of potential games and foes but also make it more fair for beginners. |

I believe limiting gear is not the way to go and that it should be done by allocated or total sp. |

I was just going to say: "Hell, let the vets go there." But... I reconsidered.
So I'd say that there needs to be an instant battle opition that opens up once you have, say, 7 Million SP allocated (or whatever number is deemed more appropriate). The option could just be called "Veteran Skirmish" or "Veteran Ambush," to keep thing simple. That option would only let you whip out ADV suits or PROTO ones. |

Well a vet is a lot more devastating in a militia suit then a noob is so i am not really for gear restrictions ecspecially when the risk versus reward system is so high right now. But happy we could agree on a vets only battle.
  Vets skirmish Vets ambush
great ideas i was thinking about only battle type which might be better for our low player count but giving them options would be nice as well. |
