Hey
Latest :
Dust 514 has been officially released for less than a month now, but the Shanghai-based team responsible for it is already in active development on new gameplay modes that should be available "very soon."
In its current iteration, Dust 514 is a competitive, player-vs.-player, deathmatch-based affair. However, CCP Shanghai are working on cooperative, player-vs.-environment modes that they hope will encourage corporation-level play: "Survival" is a wave-based Horde mode, and "Infestation" will involve scouring any enemies trying to establish a toehold in corporation-controlled districts.
In both modes, groups of players will fight against drones, the so-called "rats" or "mobs" of Dust 514, to gather money and other resources. The idea is that these PvE modes will give players and corps new entry points into the robust in-game economy that ties Dust 514 and EVE Online together.

Interesting. Say what they will about PvE, this might actually be a good tool for corps to help train their squads and otherwise build/improve team cohesion. |

My prediction is Very soon = after the PS4 is released and after Planet side 2 is available for free on the PS4. to little to late.
Also what the hell i do not want a wave based game mode that does not end until i die. Lame. I want to win not lose...and i especially do not want to always lose by design to friggin NPCs And it looks like the infestation mode is only available for people who own districts...oh fun i get to grind in PvP until i have finally gotten enough SP to take a district and i do take a district i get to grind at PvE. grinding in PvP so we can earn the right to grind in PvE....BRILLIANT
This on many levels is pure lame sauce. |

Also i am offended by CCP's misuse of the term Survival.
Minecraft is survival game play
Dayz is survival game play.
You know compelling game platy in a complex open world with hazards that you must conquer using a verity of tools that you can master and even invent new, even undesigned by the developer, methods in their use.
Wave after wave after wave of ever building enemies until you die is f*cking Galaga not survival!!!
CCP and their crap game has not even gotten within a light year of earning the right to even use the word survival. |

Very soon can mean over a year, doesn't get my hopes up in the least. Last time I was promised PVE was Fanfest 2012, and they said it would come that year (2012), yet PVE wasn't even mentioned as one of their near future (6-12 month) goals in the "advancing the core" presentation from this year's Fanfest in which they discussed their goals and time frames. |
