Dear players, at 11:00 UTC on the 28th of May, an issue occurred where some players were credited with ISK. As this ISK was an unintended error it was removed from the game as of 11:00 UTC on the 30th of May.
As a result of this issue a number of characters entered negative ISK balance due to over-spending. As a temporary measure we have now taken steps to revert affected characters back to 0 ISK in order to allow them to continue playing as normal
In the meantime we are working on a system to reclaim ISK from over-spending that will review player purchases and corp donation histories on a case by case basis in order to fairly correct each characters ISK wallet and assets as soon as possible.
While it may take some time to apply these changes we will contact affected users once we have rebalanced their ISK status to let them know that there should be no further adjustments.
As always players are welcome to contact CCP via our support system with any concerns they may have. https://dust514.com/user/help-tickets/
On behalf of the DUST 514 team please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Sounds like a government bail out, well if American corporations are not held accountable for their mismanagement why should video game players.
Also, thanks CCP, I will enjoy fighting against ill gottenk tanks and proto gear whenever I fight the scammers you have enabled. What this shows me is I should have been a scammer, I didnt so no massive stockpile for me. The good get punished instead. Great job....ya blew it. |

Did you even read the post? If they do what GM Grave says they will do, there will be no more "ill-gotten" gains. |

I wonder how CCP will handle the players who donated millions-billions to corp wallets and then in turn used that isk to fund PC matches and dispersed remaining isk to members throughout the corp?
Unless the isk is reclaimed within a few days time that isk can easily be sunk into PC matches. Would you strip districts from corps using those illicit funds? or bring corp wallets down to millions/billions into the negative? |

1. Spend it on gear/donate to corp
2. Go negative
3. Cry

The gear part won't be hard to correct in all honesty, however money siphoned through corporate donations then into PC matches are a different story. |

From what I read it sounds like those people that bought out the store will Soontm have all their purchases erased from their accounts and corp donations stemming from this ISK removed. I don't see how that's a bailout. |

So now those who played by the rules and stayed in budget are now the one's being punished? We did not break the rules, and therefore receive nothing, but those who did not listen gain potentially 100's of millions. Thanks CCP. |

lets do some math here... proto suit costs what, around 150k each? 100 of them would be 15m per maximum restock transaction.
how fair is that to those of us who DIDNT go negative that they get an extra 100 proto suits until 'something' gets done to revert them. what happens to the lost and destroyed proto suits that simply dont exist anymore?
rather than spend hours and hours trying to figure out exactly where every 0.01 isk that a player owned went, it would be quicker to just wipe their assets, zero out their wallet, and call it a day. they should be considered lucky to not have to make a new character to ever be able to buy anything again. 'fairness cry', i realize this solution only applies to the individuals and NOT the corp spending... but as mentioned theres no 'easy' solution to that aside from negative corp balances, which, if they have no districts, will simply be abandoned and reformed under a new corp. |

which is why setting their wallet balance to 0 shouldn't be a solution at all. It's impossible to stop a corp from exploiting this glitch in PC. |

Agreed, this presents an interesting dilemma, especially in regard to districts won/lost in PC battles after massive donations. I don't envy whoever is in charge of that decision, virtually impossible to please everyone. Good luck CCP, be interesting to see how this plays out. |

There should be repercussions to the people, such as removal of some assets or even a tax payment system to slowly collect the value of ISK that they had in "negatives" |

CCP setting players wallet to the negative is kind compared to blizzard perma banning any character that had anything to do with the D3 gold dupe glitch a month back.
better than them spending hours upon hours trying to perform forensic accounting on a case by case basis, cut our losses and get PRODUCTIVE things happening is all im trying to get at this point...
productive things like fixing the terrain bugs, fixing needles, or getting us our respecs, or making the Templar ManSlaughter event go live, any number of 'better' things. i am not happy the isk is there, but PC battles are less bad than proto spamming, but i am a biased publord who doesnt participate in PC |

So will players who did not exploit this "accounting error" be getting free money? Free SP? Free boosters?
This sets a very dangerous trend where any time players wish to disregard what CCP tells them, or breaks the rules/common sense ... they are rewarded. Glad to see that EVE and DUST operate under different rule sets on this one.
Compensate people who listened and didn't blow massive amounts of money they did not have, or return everyone to negative ISK values. |
