any chance well ever see that second batch of respecs hit? some of us are still waiting after 17 days now... to quote a GM response to my petition, 'very soon' ... days or more later, this constitutes 'very soon' to CCP staff? |

lets do some math here... proto suit costs what, around 150k each? 100 of them would be 15m per maximum restock transaction.
how fair is that to those of us who DIDNT go negative that they get an extra 100 proto suits until 'something' gets done to revert them. what happens to the lost and destroyed proto suits that simply dont exist anymore?
rather than spend hours and hours trying to figure out exactly where every 0.01 isk that a player owned went, it would be quicker to just wipe their assets, zero out their wallet, and call it a day. they should be considered lucky to not have to make a new character to ever be able to buy anything again. 'fairness cry', i realize this solution only applies to the individuals and NOT the corp spending... but as mentioned theres no 'easy' solution to that aside from negative corp balances, which, if they have no districts, will simply be abandoned and reformed under a new corp. |

It's impossible to stop a corp from exploiting this glitch in PC. CCP setting players wallet to the negative is kind compared to blizzard perma banning any character that had anything to do with the D3 gold dupe glitch a month back.
better than them spending hours upon hours trying to perform forensic accounting on a case by case basis, cut our losses and get PRODUCTIVE things happening is all im trying to get at this point...
productive things like fixing the terrain bugs, fixing needles, or getting us our respecs, or making the Templar ManSlaughter event go live, any number of 'better' things. i am not happy the isk is there, but PC battles are less bad than proto spamming, but i am a biased publord who doesnt participate in PC |

Also, thanks CCP, I will enjoy fighting against ill gottenk tanks and proto gear whenever I fight the scammers you have enabled. Did you even read the post? If they do what GM Grave says they will do, there will be no more "ill-gotten" gains. Yeah, that's PR speak for "We ain't gonna do **** about it". They might go after some of the bigger donations to corps, but I doubt people who purchased a crap ton of gear will get any grief from CCP. You know how much time and effort it would take CCP to go in for each of the irresponsible players who overspent and remove the gear specifically tied to that ISK? I don't know how difficult or time consuming that would be, but it sure seems like a lot of work.
they cant honestly make that determination... do they take the first "X" isk spent on gear? or the last "X" isk spent on gear? what happens to the gear thats been destroyed between now and then?
if i bought 2k proto fits at 150k each to consume the 300m isk i had with the bugged isk, 1k with fitting-A and 1k with fitting-B second, which set should they take away? what if i only had 250 of each fit left after 3 days because i am terrible at the game? they COULD automate some of this, but they would require someone to manually check over the numbers i would assume...
now factor in corp donations consumed in PC, if i donated 160m(conveniently how much i got from the bug) to corp for 2x PC battles, leaving me with 140m remaining, thats enough for only 900 and some change proto fits, that i lose in battles, how do you take back assets at this point if the assets owned do not reach the bugged isk value, but the bugged isk in corp wallet no longer exists because it has been consumed in the ISK SINK that is PC? this would require a GM or DEV to do some investigating as well as for them to make a judgement call, probably after a number of meetings and pow-wows to determine what an acceptable course of action would be.
they could always do what they did with uprising and do a full market buy back, but this leaves out the PC battles, they COULD do a assets/wallet wipe for EVERYONE, but again leaves out PC spendings and leaves the PC owners at an advantage against the up and comming contenders since nobody but the PC owners would be able to afford proto spam in battle right away, and their lead would grow bigger the longer it takes others to catch back up. |

if i had gotten my respec, i woulda bought myself into the redline just to make sure i stay laser focused on my current build, rather than running after whatever shinies come out next... |

Wolf revenant wrote:It's amazing how quick everyone is to demonize other players on these forums. When I logged in on the 28th I had not looked at the forums. I saw 78m isk where before I had about 8m. Instead of the supposed devilish schemes and plotting that we are being accused of I thought "they must have turned my salvage into isk like they did at the launch of uprising on May 6". So, thinking this isk was mine, I donated 20million to my corp. The next day I have a -12m balance and I''m playing in free fits. It sucks, but it's kind of fun too. I grind my negative balance down to approx. 10.5m. Now I'm set at 0, I still owe 10.5m. I'm ok with paying it back. I would hate to have my character banned or some other punitive action for an honest mistake. Honestly, it's not my corps fault either I didn't consult with anyone about my donation. I just did it. I'm the one who owes the money, let me pay it back.
yet didnt think to verify your assets... i thought the same thing for all of 5 minutes until i verified i still had a few hundred of my fits, 5k+ of my hacked av grenades(merc pack exclusive that ended up on market), 5k+ charge snipers. |
