I'd like to request that if you equip 2 pistols that you can duel wield them. Make it so while using both you are only able to hip fire both of them.
It would be sweet to build a gunslinger.... |

As much as this idea sounds silly, so many people have been asking for it. Maybe they could have a dropsuit that specializes in DWing sidearms with bonuses to range at the cost of reload speed for the sake of balance. |

Warframe has a half decent system for this kind of thing: You can dual wield secondaries, however it comes with both benefits and drawbacks.
Pros: Double the ROF = double the DPS.
Cons: Reduced accuracy.
Double the reload time.
Double the ammunition consumption (both weapons draw from the same ammo pool).
Dust should probably have it look like so: Pros: Double ROF = Double DPS.
Individual trigger control.
Cons: Reduced hip-fire accuracy.
No ADS.
Increased ammunition consumption (both draw from the same pool, but you have individual control over each pistols consumption).
Increased reload time (1.5x reload time if reloading one pistol, 3x if reloading both).
This provides an option for much more aggressive use of sidearms as a primary weapon, but sacrifices what would otherwise be your backup weapon. |

All I ever play as in FPS's is a ninja, scout type chracter that only uses smgs, knives and pistols - so you would think I would be all for this idea. I'm against it.
One pistol works well enough and does plenty of damage. We don't need twice the chance of scoring a 450% damage headshot. |

If it becomes a problem, it can be re-balanced. I don't see that many pistol users actually landing head shots. |

Why break it so you can fix it? Just don't break it. I promise you this will make pistols OP. Pistols were designed to hold their own, and you have just one. You asking for two would be just the same as asking for two assault rifles, or two mass drivers, etc.
The only way this would work is if a new class of pistols were introduced specifically for duel wielding that let you fire each individually, but the bullets did less damage - which ultimately would equal the dps as using just one pistol or it wouldn't be balanced, so why even bother? |

No. You go and buy 2 pistols, and try it for yourself. It doesn't work. Stop ******* asking.

It wouldn't be OP..... pistols don't have that kind of range... and they don't have a sharpshooter to level up. Of course it would be strong, it's TWO secondaries.
Damn it, so many people are so afraid of dying that we can't even get a pinch of variety in this game.... |

No. This makes NO sense. Why the hell would you want a Dual Wielder to have the same DPS as a single pistol? This makes dual wielding totally meaningless!
The whole purpose is to have added dps!
Are we that worried about getting killed, that we can't even explore and experiment?
Dual Wielder = Advantages excellent DPS. ONLY. Disadvantages longer reload time, NO ADS. Effectively reducing long range accuracy unless he stops to crouch and aim like a sniper to get a tighter hip fire crosshair. |

You seriously think it makes "NO" sense? Really?
Am I being trolled?
I'm not even going to explain it to you. It so obvious - watch this:

....no thank you CoD mechanic.
i really do not think this would be a good idea anyway.just because its balanced in theroy does not make it balanced in practice. Rapid Reload would shrink the reload window, pistols dont need sharp shooter to be effective, because of its insane HSM, just fire the rounds fast as possible, and one is bound to be a head shot |

It'd give a bunch of flavor to the Amarr scout - much beefier than other light frames but with the penalty of no light weapon slot so all you can do is dual wield a sidearm.
It would make sense that it would be Amarr as well, considering that Lasers/Scrambler rifles are well served by a sidearm, moreso than most weapons. |

I don't know why people think this would be so overpowered. More so than the Tac AR? Anything they implement can be brought inline with balance through time, testing and feedback.
I'm just suggesting something that would bring a new element to the game. Change is not that bad folks...learn it go with the flow.
I think the ability to go prone would be a good addition too. Let me guess, too OP also? "I can't find the snipers as easy as i could before!" I can hear it already..... |

It would be more damage but at a trade off.
Perhaps duel wielding means longer swap times between equipment. Longer reload times. Increased dispersion/lower accuracy (no free arm to brace the weapon).
Its should be about cool factor rather than damage anyway. |

I would be fine with double pistols if:
the reload time was always 8x longer when reloading both of the pistols.
5x longer when reloading 1 pistol
recoil was increased by a bit
accuracy reduced HUGELY when moving
cant aim down your sights
both pistols would draw from the same ammo pool
when 1 pistol ran out of ammo you would automatically just hold 1 pistol and the 2nd would be holstered (and accuracy goes back up and recoil back down again etc)
jumping would decrease your accuracy HUGELY
Accuracy would recover much slower than normal
still able to holster one pistol when ever wanted
crouching would increase accuracy a lot more than normal but moving would decrease than bonus by a large amount
stamina would not drain as fast while sprinting and jumping when you have equipped 2 sidearms instead of 1 sidearm and 1 light weapon |

Reloading would take longer by default. Especially if you go with a a mechanic, where you can't reload until both pistols are empty. The other hand isn't free, how is the gun supposedly going to reload itself? Expend your dps, then reload at maybe 3x time.
No ADS, to prevent precision fire, because this would be a brawler build. Nothing wrong with throwing a bunch of shots out. Of course a bunch of the shots would probably be head shots. If someone can actually aim, why prevent that? Just look at the AR, it has no kick in ADS. It and the scram rifle can put numerous rounds into an opponent's head. What reason is there to discriminate against other weapons? |
