Im against that idea.
Why would it be fair to let the negative people get to zero (which means pocketing a **** ton of isk) while the people that decided to wait and see the outcome get nothing?
If anything, just give back all that extra isk to everyone.
There is a definite chance there will be a lost of players because of all this. |

Well the forums are glitching. Here is the OP
Dear CCP,
Don't you have enough people fed up with this game already? You do realize, that 95% of the people you sent into ISK debt, will NEVER play this game again. I didn't go negative, but I am among the minority of the players you have. I come here on the forums daily, to find out what's going on. Most players don't. Most players just want to turn on their PS3 and play. They saw the extra ISK and thought it was part of the respec like before. As a matter of fact for the first week or more in your response letters to submitting a Respec Ticket you said you were going to refund ISK I'll quote my response from you:
"The skill respec will be applied to your characters in the coming days once we have completed and deployed changes to the skill tree. This one time respec will remove and refund all ISK and skill points that have been applied to date."
So I get taking back the extra ISK, even sending people to 0 ISK, but negative? No one is going to use free suits to dig their way out of millions to 10's of millions of ISK debt, they are just going to move on to a new game.
Your meager offer to have someone submit a ticket and have some of thier inventory turned back into ISK, is a tedious process, that won't help most people because they spent that ISK on everything from Protosuits, to Tanks. Then had those items destroyed by people like me. Some people donated alot to their corp who spent that ISK on PC. So, most of that ISK is gone, and can't be refunded. For a company who's general motto is if you can do it in the game then it's allowed, you are going against everything you believe in, by doing what you did.
People went on a spending spree, but it was your fault.
Take the extra ISK but anyone you sent into DEBT, needs to be set to ZERO ISK not NEGATIVE. If you don't I am pretty sure outer space wont be the only place in a vacuum. |

Must agree with this, putting them at zero is no punishment or fair response to people who spent all them millions.
Put them at zero to still make more isk with no penalty for blowing it and purchasing 1000s suits and mod's and let them just outclass others due to free higher teir equip basically provided by CCP - does not seem like a fair topic this one :) my 2 cents |

I'm starting to notice that everyone who is with CCP on the NEGATIVE ISK problem are pretty much cry babies with no skill, who can't compete with the guys running proto gear. You don't know how to outsmart them, outplay them, and you're happy that you don't have to see these skilled players with protogear on pub matches.
I guess CCP doesn't care about the skilled players who put time and money into this game, cuz that's what it takes to get a good toon and build yourself up (skill wise) in the game.
To all you skill-less, brainless, cry baby punks out there who agree with the NEGATIVE ISK move, just know that we're still going to stomp you in pub matches using militia gear. :)
To CCP from the guys who put time and money into this game, just know we're not going to spend another dime buying AUR in the near future :) |

I'm with everyone saying to set it back to 0isk, or even simply do as you said and refund the isk from the purchased items. I've put a solid amount of hours into this game and would love to continue playing, but as someone else mentioned earlier in this thread, it's a real pain in the a** to have to dig ourselves out of debt because of CCP's mistake, and easier remedy would've simply been to issue the "bonus" isk to all the other players aswell instead of taking it from the ones who received it. and again as someone stated earlier, their was not sufficient warning of this in-game, hence everyone making the mistake of spending the given isk, I had rationalized it out to the respec as it had happened before. I understand why alot of the other people who didn't go negative are saying things are fine this way, but it really kills the gaming experience for the ones who did go negative. I've been patient as hell with your buggy servers and glitchy matches and everything being over powered and dwarfed every 2 days, don't add to the s*** list of reasons why I'm considering deleting this game and being done with it. |

All ISK is useful for in this game is buying gear and clone packs if you already have the skills you need unlocked. I buy suits by the 100's because what good is ISK sitting in my wallet. I'm sure that other people do the same thing and with no way of knowing that they weren't supposed to have the ISK in the first place, why punish them? CCP made the mistake, punishing the players for it is just bad PR and poor support. |

Nope, but an connection is required, and the PS3 has a browser, so I think we're good on the capability of requesting a petition, which you can do by sending an email to [email protected]
If by some stroke of extreme lameness an affected user is incapable of sending a simple email, then they still have all the stuff they bought with their unearned isk, so they should be able to work the debt off quickly. |

Honestly makes no sense. If you are so deep in negative then you must of stocked up on a lot of fits. I mean a lot. Even if you have fits that cost 150,000 ISK and stock up 100 you are only at 15,000,000 which isn't that bad (especially considering to have a suit that costs that much you must be very far a long in the game). So just play it off, you'd have 100 fits to make it back.

Fact is, CCP screwed up. IT doesn't matter what players did or did not spend afterwards. The screw up shouldn't have happened in the first place. This wasn't the first respect/isk refund that we've had. So what made this one so different? Why the screw up to begin with? Then they screwed the fix up taking more ISK away from players that what was given to players in the original screw up.
They should have just left it alone. There was no reason to even take the ISK back. It's not like we have a real market or anything to screw up. So what if someone can buy 200 fittings? Doesn't really matter, no market is no market. The ISK isn't trading hands so no harm no foul. CCP screwed this up, not the players.
BTW, no I'm not affected by the screw up. I had more ISK than I should have and I have about the same amount of ISK I was suppose to have to begin with. |

I don't believe in resetting - balances to 0 for those dumb enough to spend all that extra isk/sp that they clearly knew wasn't there's. But what i do think: 1. Those that spent it as Donations to corps should - Request to get that isk returned (any good corp would do it since they can see what members donated what amounts). 2. CCP should offer anyone with a - isk or -sp balance a FULL respect , so that the extra spent on equipment/skills would be reimbursed & let them start completely over & not have a - balance or not such a high - balance. 3. If there corp refuse to reimburse them what they donated then thats there own problem for being Greedy. 4. If you Quit the Game..Well..SEE YA! |

I have no sympathy for players who spent all that ISK very well knowing it was a bug and that CCP was taking it back.
They don't read the forums? Tough, maybe instead of coming here to ask why they are negative in ISK, they should have came here to find out why they got such a huge surplus of cash in their account in the first place. Or you know, actually play with other people or check corp information? Our corp and alliance had this stuff posted on the front page hours after the respec telling player NOT to spend that ISK because CCP is taking it back.
I say let the ones reckless enough to spend it bask in the glory of negative ISK and make them pay it back by using pure militia fits for however long it takes to get out of the negative (or use the crap they purchased with that borrowed money and cry when they can't restock it).
Sadly, CCP is likely going to cave in to the ones who spent the ISK they KNEW they weren't supposed to use. |

To all you skill-less, brainless, cry baby punks out there who agree with the NEGATIVE ISK move, just know that we're still going to stomp you in pub matches using militia gear. :)
To CCP from the guys who put time and money into this game, just know we're not going to spend another dime buying AUR in the near future :)
You seem like one of those guys who likes to post "HTFU" in threads where people complain about proto-stomping ... well, time to put on your big boy pants.
Consider this a life lesson so when this happens to you in RL with your bank you don't get yourself in massive financial doodoo. When that day comes you can look back and thank CCP for making your life a better place. |

Whats hilarious is that you guys think some random noob would know why he got a ton of money, then got put into the negative |

Dood, he should have read the second edit to a post in the announcement forums, you know, the one out of game that 90% of the players don't know exists, let alone visits? |

Yeah, and obviously he should stop whining and just take the pile of **** that CCP is giving him.
Because even if a meal is poisoned, as long as it's free you don't have a right to complain. |

Hey, if they didn't try and find out why they got a bunch of ISK all of a sudden before spending it, then they really shouldn't really complain when it disappears and leaves them in the red.

I hardly spent any of my ISK I got. But lol at some of you saying "Let them leave" when Dust reviews on the whole are terrible, because the game is nothing more than grinding till you get to 8.5+ mill SP, while people in Calogi suits with TAC ARs are frequently stomping on you while you do so. These players are here regardless of this, and Dust can't afford a large amount of these players leaving because of a CCP screw-up. |

Actually, unless they're buying Aurum, CCP can pretty much do without them. |

Most indeedest. OR could it be that the ones with full inventory of ****, really CAN NOT get the price of them back? You know, cost-efficiency and all that?
