I don't usually agree with Cat Merc, but he's right here, at least partially. I've had it happen as well with Charged SR's. My Adv suit with a little over 700hp has been OHKO'd a couple times by them. I was able to call for Help afterwards which shouldn't happen with a headshot.
Assuming the potential max damage you guys are calculating is correct, it's likely either the call for Help function has an issue or the damage is calculating incorrectly. No idea which. |

OP was probably too slow to realize the first hit, that sounds like 2 hits from an Ishukone in a caldari suit with complex damage mods... Headshots for the SR need to be increased. i say 450% like my scrambler pistol. Scout-sniper needs to be viable and without damage mods, you're just picking off other Scout suits or finishing people off that your frontline fighters have weakened. damage mods ruin balance and need to be nixed. |

Good thing you don't see my name and instantly think what I said is worthless. I tend to predict a lot of things before they happen, and if I post about it people call me stupid. For example, I made a post about the TAC AR the first day Uprising came out. Everyone called me stupid. A few weeks later, the TAR is the FoTM. |

Any of these requires a fix by CCP, which is why I made a thread. No, I'm not saying snipers in general are OP.
Other possibilities:
Your head wasn't as hidden as you thought. You're QQ. You can't do basic math.
Hit boxes seem fine to me. Head glitching is practically a thing of the past, so snipers are getting more head shots these days. No one gets weapon dmg stats any longer, the stat is no longer available in the suit stats screen of the fitting screen. I will also say that I consider myself to be a pretty fair sniper and I have never taken down a Properly tanked Heavy. I have OHK heavies in the past, but mostly because they aren't using the right mods. |

head shots do not cause instant bleed out, i'm not sure what started that rumor, but I snipe lots of people in the head or the body and they don't instant bleed out no matter where I shoot them, they only instant bleed if you deal excessive amount of damage to them. |

I'm not 100% on this, but the Kill Screen seems to give total damage done to you, as opposed to total damage that killed you. For instance:
If you have 300 Armor left, but my shot does 500 dmg, then the kill screen shows 500 dmg, regardless of the fact that I killed you for 300 eHP.
My reasoning for this is because on my kill screens, I have seen more dmg done, than what was actually available to me. I run a proto minmatar medium frame and my eHP is only 285, but I have been sniped and the kill screen reported 300+ dmg. So it is perfectly plausible that you were in fact hit at least once before you were sniped and the dmg amount showed higher than what you actually had available to you. |

The reason why sometimes it will show you more damage than you have of eHP, is because it also counts if you recharge. So lose 400 HP, recharge 400 HP, lose 400HP and die, 800 damage. But it only counts if its from the same guy. I had times where I was in low health and a guy killed me, and it said "damage done to you, 34 HP" |

I can't debate this point, cause you could be right.
However, Cat, as a dedicated sniper, perhaps you did get glitched, but your circumstance, if it happened exactly as you said, is far and few between, at least from a standpoint of being reported by other players. From my own personal experience, I have never OHK anyone for 700+ dmg except on a headshot.
I'd be interested in knowing exactly what your fittings are. Perhaps its not a glitch with snipers as much as it could be a glitch with your mods. At the very least knowing what your fittings are and comparing it to other players who have had similar situations, might actually tell us and Devs what might be going on. |
