still removing free lavs is a bad idea.
if people want to spec into the lav let them but the only people who seem to want this vehicle removed are the ones who complain about getting run over by them.
and as ive seen it lessons the gap in pub matches and lessons pubstomping.
most players dont have a good counter to the tac ar or tank so the best solution to avoid horribly kdr is drive randomly around the map in a free vehicle and try to run people over.
besides those free lavs can be killed easily so no reason to complain about them.
and if u got ran over by 1 its ur own fault for running in the road they rnt really good at off road Terrain any m4 see how they flip over all the time now they are also alot harder to control.
players dont have the isk or sp to spec into things so its easier to place sp into skills the increase militia gears effectiveness.
and last time i checked newppl dont start with 10m isk they start at 0 isk... |

But they actually do start with isk.
Im not saying remove the militia LAV, just the free one. My heavy alt wont be happy but it'll keep balance in the game. |

Maybe this Madruger you came up against had all proto modules? in this case, his proto should trump your proto. Maybe hit detection was buggy? it's taken me 3 packed grenades to kill a single abandoned militia LAV before due to this very reason (was only issuing splash damage, not direct). Maybe there was a small lag spike during this time, and your hits didnt register. I've had this happen on both my tank pilot and AV character before.
Tank pilot: Heard someone drop a nanohive behind me, gunned it in reverse, just to see a guy standing there doing nothing, i shot him with my railgun and killed him. got a message after battle being all like "WTF?! just hit you with 5 av grenades and you took no damage, and you 1 shotted me with splash damage!" (his message was a lot friendlier than that made it seem).
My AV character: I am in cover, a tank is rolling my way, i jump out of cover, look up to throw my grenade in an arc towards the tank... it literally falls at me feet. I throw another, does the same thing. Throw my third (and last), flies true and hits the tank... and does maybe 1/10th damage to shields. It was a packed AV 'nade. So, you know, **** happens buddy. get over it. Clearly your proto nades have worked for you in the past, or you would have stopped using them and/or complained about them sooner. Stop getting your panties in a bunch, and crying for a nerf over one bad incident.
BTW, as someone who has 10 million sp in 2 characters, one a tank pilot, the other a dedicated AV, i can honestly say that AV damage and vehicle health are about where they need to be. Dropships still need some serious love, and we need our PG upgrades back, but all else is gravy. |

the free militia lav should stay as there are other free lavs my perfect example is the bpo lavs that can be bought for aurum...

my thoughts? I think the Militia LAV BPO that we get now should just be an x20 run, it sucks for all of us, but it prevents situations such as calling in an free LAV and ramming it into an enemy 2mil ISK HAV over and over until it explodes. |

its a great way for players to dispose of team wrecking tanks when said team has no proper av unit.
my suggestion for u to avoid this tactic.
stop sniping with tanks.
and add some shield boosters and armor repairers on your tank... |

OP is lying out his ass. a madrugar with shield hardeners? and because you took out his 1k shields your satisfied? but when you hit a brick wall with his armor its game breaking? any shield tank that has faced a well fitted madrugar knows what that "brick wall" effect is. your complaining that you cant kill everything you want with 3 little grenades, get an actual weapon and stop QQing!!!!!!! |

he built his tank damned well, and was probably expecting a pile of people like you to throw AV at, and expected the worst.
you are not supposed to be able to drop a tank alone, unless using something like a Forge Gun. or atleast advanced Swarm laucher.
decent tanks are hard to come by, so when you find one you cry for a nerf? tanks have already taken a hard hit. i like to hunt tanks, but when i can blow them up with my mass driver i feel something is.. wrong |
