Not saying this for me, I'm happy with my Gallente race. But I'd like it for the better good of the role playing community out there in Dust. Most people don't really have a good understanding of the races when they start. They end up later supporting a race that they are not directly aligned to. Give everyone a free redo because of the near impossibility to understand all the races at the beginning, then start charging.
That's my problem all day. Thought Gal were cool. Now that I have an understanding of lore and the universe I would like to be one I feel more into for RP. |

Game breaker. This is a persistent universe, not like diablo 3 or COD. When your clone is born you are the race that you are and there is no way to change which test tube you came from. What would your mom say if you walked up to her and said I want to be born again as a different race? Choices matter in New Eden, if you choose to you can make a new Main character and enjoy all the creature comforts of whatever race you want to but your previous main will always be whatever race you chose when you started, just as my race is Minmitar and I am stuck in a steam punk like quarters and always will be, so are you stuck. |

Maybe not a race change, but it would be nice to not look like 1 out of 4 avatars. Give us the EVE character builder!
Also, it would be nice to choose your captain's quarters. Sometimes you get bored of the one you're in. |

Eve has never allowed on to change there race, gender or name for any reason on any amount of money. So i say no to it in Dust, especially if its for AUR.
I do feel that i should be able to change stations to determine my merc quarters and change my portrait at will. I also feel that when they get racial line fully filled out they should offer a one time chance to change your characters race/gender. |

+1 to this and maybe an option to buy color options for our dropsuits so we can personalize them. If were not getting any new game modes anytime soon I would like to be able to change some stuff up . New avatar , new quarters and maybe some blue armor if I choose. |

Assuming I have my Dust lore correct we don't have a actual body, so all we would need to do is die and transfer our consciousness to the body of another race. |

Yes, please. In favor of race change and change of quarters for AUR. Also in favor of appearance customization options (costumes, accessories, other vanity items) that will appear on your character in merc quarters and on the war barge.
Race change is more controversial, perhaps there could be an SP penalty imposed to make it a rather serious and infrequent decision. Only for people who really want to role-play as a different race on their main.
ALSO, you could take it one step further and also make character emotes (dances, gestures, etc) unlockable on the war barge in exchange for AUR. |

The online CC claims race is purely cosmetc, starter fits say otherwise.
Also, we didn't even know what most avatars would look like at the beginning. I picked Gallente cause of the nice birdie, now I'm a four eyed freak 
There is no reason to not allow a race change. "But in Eve...", yeah, no, that's a terrible reason. |

I think this would be a cool option. It really doesn't effect anything. Although, eventually I'd hope that the race you choose will determine what starter fits you get, but that really isn't anything to make a fuss about.
However, when ever faction standings get introduced. Don't reset their standings. If they had bad standings with their new race, make them work it back up. |

What I would like to see though is some more character customization beyond what our favorite suit is. EVE has a great character creation system. Why not port it over to DUST? |

The RP aspect is not violated by a race/gender change. A merc could just purchase a different clone to download into. We aren't our clones, but what information that we upload/download is us. The clone is just a bio-machine that houses us. Looking at it from that perspective, no RP rules are broken. |

I think a race/bloodline change might be in order, but I don't know about making it a permanent service.
There's a simple reason in favor of it: prior to uprising our race didn't matter at all, and for many of us we made decisions without knowing much about the lore.
POST-uprising, it actually impacts things like our starter fits. The starter fits comprise some of our few default "free" options, and on opportunity to change that to another race because we made the choice before it had import seems... fair.
I'd be more in favor of a one-time change on those grounds than a permanent "race-change" service. |
