If the quarters are an issue, then it is not necessary to change your race. If we could board a transport to travel to a different station either gallente, amarr, caldari or minmatar station whatever our preference, we would all be able enjoy the luxurious quarters of our choosing. There are NPC Trading convoys that go between different stations, perhaps we could get CCP to put a feature in that allows us to purchase a ride like hoping on a bus or air plane to go to a destination system and station.
My eve character is minmatar but I often enjoy the comforts of the Amarr or Gallente stations when in port. Another fix for this is the eve clone management system, install your clone in the station of your choosing, suicide in MQ and end up on the other station. Simple. |

Introducing the ability to "resleeve" (to borrow a term from Eclipse Phase) into the lore and gameplay mechanics could potentially have some pretty interesting ramifications on the meta game especially for EVE. |

This is a good idea. Like it has been already pointed out, our consciousness is ported into a different clone body on death. How hard could it be to tell it to upload to a different one?
You should be stuck with the skills you have spent already, because EVE is about accepting consequences, and skills are consequences that directly affect how the game is played. But the game doesn't care what race or gender is sitting inside the suit. It only cares what skills you have trained.
It hurts no one, and benefits those who wish to change. Sex changes exist in the real world. Why not in EVE? |

I support the pay to change, but with one minor thing to it. I hear all the time about Race/Bloodline perks coming, and when these release, everyone should be allowed one and only one change to those prior created to it. But after that, you pay a hefty chunk of Aurum to shunt your consciousness into a new body. |

For instance, I'm Gallente, but I spent a ton of SP to do Caldari assault suits. Not that I would, but if did, would I be refunded the difference in SP if I changed to Caldari?
Also, isn't that what having the extra characters is for? I'm against it personally, but I can understand. Maybe if you get a do over, arrange to pay some sort of SP penalty or something. |

have you actually read the proposal?
this is only COSMETIC. you get the appearance, quarters and racial avatar. SP are kept as they are. |

I don't see why not. They're talking about similar changes in eve as well (race that is, they can already change their appearance already as they please.) allowing things like hybrid races. |

I kinda like it if removed/changed your starter fits as well. For anyone that started pre-uprising, we chose races prior to that perk existing (when all starter fits were Caldari). |
