It should be obvious to anyone who reads these forums that a lot of people have had serious difficulty getting the nanite injector to actually revive people since the Uprising patch. I'm sure it will be patched eventually, but for now we need to work with what we've got. In my experience in Uprising so far, I think I've developed a few tricks that will help make the injector work more often and wanted to share to help my fellow LogiBros out. If anyone has experienced otherwise, feel free to disagree with me and let me know what has worked for you.
So here are my tips:
1. First of all, and this is a big one, one that messed me up for a while, DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to revive someone the 'old school' way by pulling out the injector from the Equipment wheel and pressing R1. This is MUCH, MUCH less reliable than the new method of pressing Circle with whatever gun/Equipment you already have out.
2. The point of revival will not always be on the body. This was true in Chromosome as well, but at least then you knew that you could revive them if you could find the exact place where they died before their body ragdolled. This is no longer true. In this build, my suggestion for finding the revival point is start at the body, then search around it in a spiral motion moving outward. While doing this repeatedly tap Circle until you find it.
3. When you hear the needle sound and start to see the stabbing animation, STOP ALL MOVEMENT UNTIL THE ANIMATION IS COMPLETE. Even though you were just doing a river dance to try to find the right spot to revive, you need to stop and wait. I think this is what has caused a lot of people trouble as well. You're still free to move around, but if you're no longer in the right spot to revive when the animation completes, it will fail and they will not be revived. And bear in mind, the actual size of the area that you're able to revive them is extremely small, hence why it's best not to move at all.
Using this method, I have been able to revive people about 80% of the time I attempt it (which is much more than before, which was definitely less than half). So no guarantees, even doing it like this it sometimes fails for no reason that I can understand. And I know it's hard to do on the fly, but it's the best we have for now. I just want to discuss this because it seems that a lot of people have either stopped using the injector, or stopped attempting to revive due to frustration. Hope this helps! |

It's sad that we actually need infos like this, while the game is fully released and the PC is starting tomorrow. I can understand that we have problems with balancing in general and other stuff, but this are core mechanics which have to work....
But thanks for this anyways. It's really interesting and I hope it helps everybody. |

Seriously, many likes to you sir.
My main concern is that with hardly anyone running injectors right now and when they do, with it hardly ever working we're retraining the player base to never wait for a revive. . Hopefully this will help right that ship. |

It has been doing my head in that the Nanite Injector is so hard to use now. I will try these tips immediately. More importantly CCP please fix this broken mechanic ASAP especially as PC battles will begin in only a few more hours and clone limits will make reviving team mates a crucial part of those battles |

I have a medic loadout but gave up on it. I've given up on waiting for a revive too. I don't even log in my logi character anymore.
I do try to stick with squads with comms though, so once this is fixed I'll help spread the word. (also bumping, maybe this should get a forum sticky for now) |

Thank you very much. Maybe I will equip an injector again.
Before Uprising my success rate was 99%. The failures were very system specific. Reviving someone that had been run over was either nearly impossible or impossible. I don't recall ever getting it to work. As to finding where the body fell I could ask the Downer where they were and where they got hit with the normal result I could find the death mark. |

I have been lucky with the wheel, but not so much on the "O" button. I can never get it to come on the screen so I never hit "O", but it is worth a try. I have found that if I start at the feet and go backwards across ground I tend to find that G spot !
And it seems as if the "Advanced" and "proto" injectors actually lock on better than the standard. |

I've been trying to revive everything that dies around me lately (even if I know it's going to end badly) to test the best way to revive. Here is what works the best for me:
- I still revive the "old school"-method, I swith to my Ni while I run to the dead body.
- Locate the feet of your dead ally and align with them so you are overlooking his dead body from his feet.
- Move a bit around untill you get the "press R1 to revive" message (the press "O"-method might work too?)
- Press R1.
Note: (as of now) Revives won't work if the dead body rolled/fell down. God knows where the dead body actually is when a bluedot gets run over by a LAV, so you won't get to revive them either if this happends (with exception to some rare occasions).

Great thread and thanks to the OP for posting the suggestions. I follow the above quoted method and find I have about an 80 percent success rate.
I still am not sure about a couple of things.
1) Does a blue dot have to hit the "X" button on the map screen in order to be revived? I always do but that would explain why I see so few opportunities for revives.
2) I always equip the injector. Does this mean if I don't equip the injector but try to revive the clone like I usually do with the injector, the "O" button notice will pop up? I am still not clear if the circle button only appears if the down clone "calls for help" or will just appear when any player carrying an injector is in the "injector spot"?
3) Can anyone confirm it the advanced or proto injectors are easier to use, make it easier to find the "injector spot"?
Thanks. |

@greyarea67:
1) This may increase the visibility of seeing when blue dots need to revive. The only thing is I've seen the icon AS SOON as they "die" (when they get killed by the enemy and immediately during the "dead-body-fall" animation) meaning that it wasn't possible for them to have hit "Call For Help" as they haven't even gotten the Kill Report screen and thus the ability to Call For Help. And yet other times, I've seen people run around with the Swarm Launcher and the revive icon is hovering above them even though they are alive AND I don't even have a nanite injector (lolwut).
2) Yes, when you press O, your character will switch to the injector and attempt to revive and then switch back to your weapon/equipment item. The reason I say "attempt" is because I have pressed O while over a body and whipped out the nanite injector. However, I moved a slight bit too far and my character just stood there like an idiot for a little bit, eventually switching back to my weapon. This tells me that:
##Psudocode## If friendly_revivable_dead_body is "Nearby" Then [b]Start timer for x seconds[b/] Equip nanite_injector Use nanite_injector When timer = 0 Then Switch back to previous_item ##End Lousy Psudocode##
TL;DR: Basically, it's on a timer.
3) I am now using Proto Injectors and I'm not really seeing a difference between the Militia, Standard, Advanced or Prototypes. From my experience I would vouch to say better injectors are NOT in correlation to success rate. (Of course, it's hard to pinpoint the problem; refer to 1.)
Cheers and good luck! |

Pressing O seems so slow, I used to keep my repairtool ready when the stabbing animation started playing in the previous build, now I don't even dare to press a single thing while the stabbing animation plays.
I'm missing all that risky on the fly rezzing and repping and I hope that reviving will be a smooth procedure once again in the sooner than SOONGäó-future.
Edit: it would be cool that we can set our own weapon/equipment to swap to when we press the 'R2'-button. |

Wow, my thread got revived, and with some more helpful tips no less. Thanks guys.
I just wanted to come back hear to add one more bit of advice I've leaned, one that many people (particularly non-Logis) don't know or understand:
At this point, when someone is killed by being ran over by an LAV, it is NEVER possible to revive them. The revive symbol will show up everytime, and they will get a countdown until they officially die, but I have never successfully revived someone killed by an LAV in Uprising.
This has led to some misunderstandings with people I've squaded with, where they ask for a revive, I tell them it's not possible because of the LAV, and they try to argue with me because they see the "Call for Help" button and the revive icon. But please just trust me, if you've been hit by an LAV, you are down for the count. |
