My CEO and I cannot do ANYTHING with Districts in the new Planetary Conquest version of this game.
I am in a two person Corp, we went to the planet we were currently already at, drilled down to the system and available planet itself, came to the District screen (which looks similar to the Edit screen for Dropsuits), all 7 Districts on the world were empty...and now we can do nothing else. Nothing happens when you select an empty distruct. No clone pack, no directions, nothing.

PC is only available in low security systems in Molden Heath. The other districts on the map are just high security space or faction warfare space districts which players cannot interact with (which is why you see no options). |

Depending on the planet you may be looking at a hi sec planet, we need to make those more visible as not conquerable. Blue planets just meant temperate planets, which if in low sec and in molden heath means conquerable. |

Half the region is in hi sec and you can't take districts in hi sec.
Why they are selectable then is beyond me. For someone like me who doesn't live eve I had no idea, especially since the star map doesn't have a sec status I have no idea. |

Seems like a lot of pointless empty, wasted space though...unless this has something to do with EVE of which I know nothing.
The "Help" buttons within the game itself are fairly useless. The only way anyone can learn anything is to go on this forum and look through a dozen tutorials. I don't, nor care, how things work in the PC gaming world, but us console gamers do like instructions with our games. |

Seems to me this is supposed to be a big draw of the game. If one, two, or four people cannot get together and form a small corp and play in this sandbox, I think it's going to become a sandbox full of only a few thousand EVE players. And that just won't cut the mustard in the console world.
I think this game should have stayed on the PC. |

Planetary conquest has been designed from the ground up for organizations much larger than one, two, or four people. While yes this is supposed to be a big draw to DUST it is not the only one and not every single feature can be made to suit everyone. Our focus right now is on getting the battles to be bigger, not smaller. |

Not trolling here, but I have to know.....
What were the 2 of you going to do when your district was reinforced? You would only be able to bring 2 people to a 16v16 battle.
It would have been a total waste of 80mil ISK. You should be happy you ****** it up, honestly. |

I am sure the EVE and PC veterans will keep this game floating for some time, but not allowing the single player or a small handful of gaming friends to advance in this - or any - online console game will seal its fate. New players will abandon Dust quickly, old players will slowly stop purchasing Aurum, and the profit stream for this game will cease before it ever makes a dent on the PS4 landscape. But what do I know? I'm only an Assistant Controller with a Masters in Business and Marketing.
And it's a two woman Corp thank you very much. When it comes to video games, we prefer to play solo, together or with a handful of other friends - who mostly have 360s and not PS3s. |

To be fair, however, CCP also launched a new version of Factional Warfare in which smaller corps can affect the map of New Eden.
One really good squad (six) or even a rump squad in some matches can flip districts in FW. That in turn affects the control of the star system in which you are fighting.
Is there room for improvement of the FW game? Absolutely. However, I encourage your corp to pick a side (Gallente & Minmatar or Stinkies and Greasies ) and fight for that side exclusively. Your corp will begin to affect the map and CCP has already said that they are reworking the rewards so that loyalty will get rewarded in later releases. |
