Apologies if you don't take the time to read patch notes in order to fully understand what's to come. I expect this is your first MMO with regular game expansions? |

While yes this is supposed to be a big draw to DUST it is not the only one and not every single feature can be made to suit everyone. Our focus right now is on getting the battles to be bigger, not smaller. Maximus Stryker wrote:amen You have the CCP/EVE faithful in complete thrall, but do you have people like myself, or will you ensare many console playing newcomers? With that attitude, and the lack of civility and immense immaturity among much of this demographic and fanbase (cue the "Corp of two idiots" comment), I don't think so. And many of you wonder why we don't want to join a Corporation and prefer to play together. The vulgar 12 year old crowd is an annoyance on the Xbox, easily solved by a mute button. The man-child mentality of many who post on this forum and play this game is insufferable.
As a faithful halo/cod player since the intoduction of both on xbox I can attest to the vulgarity of the 12 year old crowd.
HOWEVER
1) You don't get to complain about vulgarity and have "areolas" in your corp name
2) I would hazard a guess that the sust playerbase is not primarily the tweens picked up by most fps games
3) 2 People (except for top corps like imperfects and pfbhz) rarely directly impact the outcomes of games on a regular basis. What were you going to do in 2 v 16? How would that work on these maps?
4) 2 people is just not enough in this game. I would suggest branching out. Join games solo and jump in unfilled squads. I've rolled with some guys from pfbhz and rebelles a quebec and they pretty nice guys, I'm sure there are plenty of other people out there like that. Heck if you like them you can invite them to your corp. Or if not that then form an alliance and have them help you.
I've never played eve and I've only been playing dust for 3 months but there is much more to this game than a simple shooter. It has politics, an economy, and all that kind of stuff. Very deep. Just be more open minded about it. This game won't cater to everyone (so far, 1 of the 3 frienfs I had try it liked it) but its a great game and its still in progress. |

I dont think the need to leave the game to find an accurate map that depicted which parts of were high sec was covered in the patch notes. Because thats this threads complaint. I'll go check the patch notes again. |

Well we are just two now, but this news is dissapointing for the console gamer. Seems to me this is supposed to be a big draw of the game. If one, two, or four people cannot get together and form a small corp and play in this sandbox, I think it's going to become a sandbox full of only a few thousand EVE players. And that just won't cut the mustard in the console world. I think this game should have stayed on the PC.
What's stopping you from finding more members? Do you expect CCP to limit games to 2vs2 just because you don't have more people? |

My corp currently has 2 people in it, but we are not delusional enough to think we can participate in PC. We currently are just playing to get better and when we feel we have skilled up enough we will start recruiting or just try to join a bigger corp. I would hate for CCP to cater to small corps like mine, PC should be for huge corporations.
That's what I love about the idea of this game. That every Corporation has the potential to grow into a dominate force, but it will require work, and dedication. |

You may be able to enter a new species into the ring, but you are not going to terraform the whole console biosphere. "That's just the way it is...somethings will never change." I am sure the EVE and PC veterans will keep this game floating for some time, but not allowing the single player or a small handful of gaming friends to advance in this - or any - online console game will seal its fate. New players will abandon Dust quickly, old players will slowly stop purchasing Aurum, and the profit stream for this game will cease before it ever makes a dent on the PS4 landscape. But what do I know? I'm only an Assistant Controller with a Masters in Business and Marketing. And it's a two woman Corp thank you very much. When it comes to video games, we prefer to play solo, together or with a handful of other friends - who mostly have 360s and not PS3s. I love how everyone just GÇ£accidentallyGÇ¥ ignored this point. If the smaller corps can't do anything to keep up with the big corps then Dust WILL die. It's a huge deal that CCP seem to just be ignoring! Sure they get money from EVE but that can't be enough to keep Dust alive or even the player base alive. To the OP, I suggest (as others have) that you join a corp that isn't just yourselves. My corp, the B.S.A.A have mature and active members, as well as some immature less active members that are kind of GÇ£bums on seatsGÇ¥ right now. I'd like to squad with you sometime, hit me up when you're next online :)
You can join alliances as a smaller corp...problem solved ;)

Well I'm a one man Corp.
(And actually I think they said they were a two WOMAN corp. Way to pay attention and impress the ladies. You dorks got game! LOL!)
As a console player, much like the TC, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this Planetary Conquest component. If I have billions of ISK just laying around, I should be able to hire mercs to fight for me and my district without being a part of some 200 person Corporation. This game-tactic just won't fly on consoles, but apparently many of you are too busy with your heads stuck up your butts to realize this. (And that includes those at CCP too.)
As it is I am now excluded from the "Every Battle Matters!" part of this game. And I am starting to come to the conclusion that this game just doesn't matter much to me. |

What's stopping you from joining a larger corp or inviting more members to your own corp? After all, it's a TEAM game....else you might just as well play a singleplayer shooter. |

I am in a two person Corp, we went to the planet we were currently already at, drilled down to the system and available planet itself, came to the District screen (which looks similar to the Edit screen for Dropsuits), all 7 Districts on the world were empty...and now we can do nothing else. Nothing happens when you select an empty distruct. No clone pack, no directions, nothing.

I never claimed to know anything about EVE. You should learn to retain what you read better. And the fundamental aspect of Dust is "Shoot the Enemy, Don't get shot Yourself."
My "Dorks got Game!" comment is directed at the lack of fundamental social skills that many like yourself fail to possess on this board. I am only rude to those who are rude to others, or think that these games are the Haute Coture of all video games and life itself, and also very much full of their own BS. |
