I always wanted this game for PC and was annoyed when i saw it was a PS3 game, GFX and controller sucks and mouse is broken for balance.
Please port the game to PC so i can play with full HD 1080 resolution and a proper RAW input mouse, thanks. |

"Never" is a little more negative than I'd be, but as the poster above me said, it's not going to happen any time in the near future. I'm pretty sure they actually have an exclusive contract with Sony right now. |

I never understood the idea that there was a chasm of a difference between an EVE player and a console player, though I did get into EVE at a pre-teen age so maybe I am little off base. |

Ah, bad wording on my part. I likely should have said "I do not believe the group of EVE/PC players are that different from console players."
I likely jumped the gun on that one. I apologize; I just have seen too many "us vs. them" when it comes to console and PC players.
Be well. |

If that is a possible reading of my post, it was not my intent. "EVE Players" was not meant to exclude the possibility of gamers who play EVE and DUST. The point of the post was that, while there will be crossover, we are two distinct communities who will share New Eden. |

I would love to see dust on PC. Especially if i could run a custom key mapping so i could set up multiple shortcut keys. If they really want marketshare steam would be a great way to go. Funny would be if this went over to the wii :) If eve went ftp i would pick it up again but i really did hate how much time i had to sink in training skills. |

I don't think this game will live long on consoles, not only is it on ps3 which will soon be replaced by the ps4 (why make a next gen game on a last gen 10 year old system that looks and plays crap?) console players will just go to the next COD or BF when its released, i just can't see the console casual gamers putting the effort or time into this game in the long run.
The fact they dont want there actual fan base to play the game disgusts me, as an eve player who loves the lore of the eve universe i wanted this game on PC, eve is a smallish fan base already so they should have respected their loyal customers and made them an epic next gen mmofps and if it did utilize current PC tech it would look and feel amazing and be far far bigger on scale if even not open world like Planetside 2.
I know I've complained a lot about the poor gfx quality but i think tbh what really annoys me about the game on console is the controls, like when you watch the you tube vids you see people strafing and missing 90% of their shots because trying to aim with controller or analogue emulated mouse is terrible, if the game on ps3 had raw mouse input and 1080 id be perfectly happy. |

I'm sure it would be cheaper to make it on PC as they would not have to deal with SONY and they could get far more loyal EVE players playing the game, and people prefer fps games on PC due to many reasons. and CCP would get more cut from the sale son their item shop not having to give a chunk of it away to Sony. |

And what makes you think it won't be ported to PS4? Final Fantasy XI (the MMO) ran on PS2, PC, and Xbox 360 simultaneously, there's no reason they couldn't do something similar with Dust 514.

I don't think casual console gamers will put in effort or time into this game upon seeing the fitting screen. This isn't a casual game. It doesn't appeal to that crowd, and it never will.

Putting Dust 514 on PC would have been a terrible business decision. It would have split their fanbase in two, since PC gamers interested in the EVE universe either already play EVE or can't run it. Putting it on consoles, however, grows the fanbase, since console gamers otherwise never could have played a game set in the EVE universe.
As for why it's not also on PC, it's a well-known fact that aiming with a mouse is FAR easier than with a controller. Making it for PS3 and PC and putting them both on the same server (which they'd HAVE to do) would kill off the PS3 fanbase, since no one likes playing against people with an "unfair" advantage (PC mouse users).
The current situation (PS3 [or consoles] only) is the best situation in the long run for both EVE Online and Dust 514.

FF11 was ported yet but i played it on the xbox 360 and then PC, but i dont think the gfx were updated much from PS2 to XBOX so if they did bring this out for PS4 i think it would still be using 720 ress and the same textures.
They would not really be splitting their pc eve playerbase would they? i play eve yet try to play dust, its just making it unfair to people who love eve but cant afford a PS3, they love the eve universe just as much as me but dont have the chance to play it and thats not right on CCP's part.
if play the game on PC or PS3 im still going to be playing one or the other, so there no reason it cant be on pc, and imagine dust 514 like planetside 2 with the scale, 2000 man battles and gfx quality, it would be the best game ever.

They will, eventually.
Sooner or later, they'll port it over to the PC. Guaranteed.
You really think they're going to announce a PC version while they're still under an exclusivity contract with Sony? The _MOMENT_ that contract is up, I bet CCP will announce they've already got a PC version in development and it'll signal them phasing out the PS3 version.
At the same time they'll probably move it over to PS4. Of course they're not going to say anything regarding any other platform, even speculatively, while under contract from Sony lest they risk all sorts of legal crap thrown their way. |

EVE has survived 10 years. This is integrated into EVE. You think they'll like working on a part of the game that after 2 years no one will play? Dust will move platforms to stay modern. Promise you.

1. Dust will be moved to the ps4 when it comes out. this game will be continuously updated like eve.
2. they are looking for new customers not those already loyal to eve.
I personally prefer my ps3 and its controller to the more uncomfortable computer set up.

Console gamers without a PC have not played eve for 10 years and grown into the lore and community tho have they, so it snot really invalid my point holds true. the console gamers have no idea what eve even was before dust, and most prob still dont... but the eve players do. |

Insta turning is more real life realistic so i will always prefer mouse for a shooter, you know how long it takes a soldier in real life to do a 180 spin? far far less that in dust and far more accurate, stand up now and see how fast you can turn then aim as a point... |

I don't know if this holds true for other people, but even though I have been a console player for as long as I can remember, I have always loved EVE and its concept and lore. I read the books, watched the youtube videos, and kept up with all the happenings on the website. So when CCP announced there would be an expansion of EVE coming to the PS3 without all the spreadsheets and BS, I was ecstatic. So next time you stereotype us console players, do some god damn research
Stop making false excuses, the fact you call eve spreadsheet BS shows you are no eve fan obviously. A console gamer who does not go on a pc for anything other than facebook is not going to be a super eve fan then call it BS is he? stop trying to make false claims please.
Sorry but the way you spoke to me makes me wonder if you have ever read the Chronicles, books or taken any interest in eve other than think of it as COD with a market. |

To be fair, it takes one bullet to kill you in DUST too. Look at your gauges. The first gague is shield, the second guage is armour, once that hits zero, your armour broke, the round passed through it and hit you inside, and killed you.
In EVE there are three gauges that represent the same, with the last one being Hull, which is essentially health. Since our "Hull" is our skeleton, and one bullet is enough, well I guess that explains that ;) |

The suits would most deff be powered like space marine Armour, guns not much more than real life weapons, they just look more fancy - the minigun. They would still be precision accurate and be able to pull turns faster. |

Power Armour is worn primarily by the Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, Adeptus Custodes and the Chaos Space Marines. It is a completely enclosed suit of armour, made of thick ceramite plates. The armour would be heavy and cumbersome to wear but for the electrically motivated fibre bundles within the armour that replicate the wearer's movement and enhance his/her strength. |

Ah, yes, warhammer 40k, the dumbest excuse for a sci-fi story in this century. The way I see it, our merc suits would have an exoskeleton allowing us to lift heavy object, especially the heavies, but stuff is still damn heavy. |

Please port the game to PC so i can play with full HD 1080 resolution and a proper RAW input mouse, thanks. Thankfully, this will be coming. Who knows how long their exclusivity contract with Sony lasts, but I'm guessing a year from launch at max. So, next year around now we could finally be on the PC. |

Plus, the devs already run Dust on PC's. The Sony agreement won't last forever kids |

Ok so appart from your insult what are you trying to show? ive seen this video before, the game would be 10x better on PC fact, it would have more players and better community's, have you tried using PS3 voice chat? PC has vent, ts3, mumble etc, websites, better hardware by far.
Its silly and it must be ported to pc or die.
Also a lot of what he says in the video is crap, theres no open world persistent world in dust is there, its the same battlegrounds over and over again fighting for a corp you know little about and nothing tangible to see.
Planetside 2 is a persistent MMO in the term of its 24/7 constant war on maps, you dont end after 20 minuets, its persistent.
Sounds to me like you have PS3 console fanboy syndrome :) |

And armor sets are incredibly restrictive. heh well of course they are, we are just fighting most battle snow for pretend corps or something, we go battle, come out with far more money than our suits cost, 1 battle if enough money to but like dozens of suites... mercs fight for money, they wont spend more than they make in a battle or they wouldent risk their lives, also the cloning costs are very expensive. You can easily make far less money than you spend. The average payout for an ambush match is 200,000 isk. Someone running full proto that dies twice easily exceeds that amount. Corporations are not paying for our suits. sigh... so we are soldiers of fortune who fight for no fortune but to get into debt? no the whole point of a merc is to fight and serve a faction to make money, i died 3 times last game and got more kilsl than i died, i spent 20k on kit, yes i make more than i lose. Sigh... you have no idea what I just said in context of what you said. You said that corps pay for your suits. I said no they don't, you are making things up. |

Actually, yes. If you are a PC gamer, then why are you playing consoles? And if you are playing consoles, than you should know that there are games for the console and only for the console that you can't play on your PC. That is the developer's decision, not yours, and if you want to be selfish and have the best of both worlds, than you're going to have to deal without your perfect aim and instant 180 degree turns. I mean you sound like a spoiled child. "mommy, when I play with my friend's toy, it's not as good as mine. Give me his toy and then make it better, and do it now so he can't have any fun with it." |

I'm a scum console player now? Well than you for proving my point.
If I came out as arrogant I apologise as it was not my intention.
I'm a gamer with a standard of playing good enjoyable games be it on pc, ps3, wii or xbox360.
As for the dirty water thing I must say that I'm not from a 3rd world country unless you count Finland as one but last I checked we were doing pretty good though ;) |

That whole post is absolutely out of order. You wonder why you get insulted when you post this!? A PC, like a console is a machine you plug into and turn on for entertainment. Judging people and calling them "Third world" because they enjoy playing on a console is absolutely horrific.
Comparing playing a console is like "Drinking dirty water" when you're used to drinking "Clean" is utterly insensitive and is just so absolutely a "First World problem"
Utterly disgusting. |

Because DUST is for PS3, simple as that.
And i dont have the money for a Gaming PC.
And i dont want to fight against people using Mouses in a FPS, its cheap. |

the PS4 will prob cost -ú300-400, for that money you can buy a gaming pc that will be far better than a PS4. i was just playing dist and the fps was around 20 a lot of the time, thats very sub par and hurts gameplay. |

Have you tried it? its an emulated analogue mouse, its harder to use than the ps3 controller, it moves slower than using a stick set to 40% and is totally horrible to use, they tried to balance the mouse with the ps3 controller and make some false software mouse crap, even i cant use it so i have to deal with the controller, its not even raw input so no it does not have mouse really.

It is not an emulated controller. Turn your sensitivity down from 100%. 100% is currently bugged. Also, yes of course I've tried it. It's all I use.
It is real mouse support, not emulated. Sorry, try again. |

The devs have even said its freaking altered to be balanced with the controller? its NOT RAW MOUSE INPUT, i play pc games most of the time, i play planetside 2, bf3 and tons of mmo's i know how a mouse feels and acts for 14 years of pc gaming, THIS IS NOT A PROPER MOUSE INPUT.
And why dopes mouse smoothing speed up my turn rate with mouse? i have to have it on because if i dont even at 90 or 100% sens i turn like a snail, but it feels the same control wise with it on or off.
Try again.

Yea tbh im just going to wait for the pc **** in a year or two, i really have tried to get into the ps3 version but the control's are just way to bad for me to get into, mouse and controller is just so inaccurate and random. see what the future brings. |
