And by the way. That 1 mill isk tank you were operating? Yeah. Thats gone too.
Epic. Fail.
I can handle getting blown up in a toe-to-toe fight. Run what you're willing to lose. But at least put the risk on my own ability to manage the equipment.
Server stability has taken a serious dump on this "patch". The black screen of doom has become ever more prevelant too.
Can sum up my question to CCP in three letters.

Had this problem with piloting a dropship. I'll be flying around and get an error while being signed out of PSN. Makes me lose my 1m+ dropship. Any server disconnects they should set so you retain the lost material. Prior to entering the match. |

We have several different messages for disconnection, for example: You have been disconnected. The server is currently not available. You have been disconnected for being inactive for too long. But this one "You have been signed out of PlayStation-«Network." is actually toggled by PSN, our game is just get the notification from PSN and display the message. It's probably because PSN is not quite stable. If you're using wireless network, switching it to wired may help.
Thanks for you feedback.

Thats a problem from sony when you DC from the PSN. Its not a issue from CCP they just give you a notification why you actually got removed from the match. But you still lost the tank which is annoying. |

Well, I understand it's annoying to lost an expansive vehicle when getting unexpected disconnection. But please picture this: if someone lost a vehicle and then unplug cable or turn off router to simulate "PSN Signout" and then we give his inventory back, it's unfair to other player. I think there's no good way to detect weather the disconnection is intentioned or unexpected. But anyway, I will forward this to our designer to see if we can have a better solution.
Thanks. |

I'm wired up and still get this message. It has become a daily thing now, I'm doubting it has to do something with the players connection to PSN, this is the only game that gives me this error. |

I was experiencing this problem yesterday. It signed me out three times in a row during a short period of time. I gave up and went to sleep in the end, however today the problem seems to have not persisted and I am playing as normal.
I believe this to be Sony's end of things due to their unique error message and the fact it signed myself out of PSN altogether. |

Experienced this for the first time today. Was playing an ambush OMS match with 5 in our squad. First noticed a squad member had been disconnected, then I received the 'disconnected from PSN Network' error message.
Weird thing was, the game sounds seemed to be continuing (not looping) despite the disconnection.
Pressed x on the pop-up, screen went black, then took me to the PSN sign in screen. Clicked to sign in, went off to do other stuff and when I came back, Dust had restarted on it's own and was at the character select screen! |

While I do understand that the PSN error is not CCP related, what I can say is that in the last three days I will get this error at least once a game session. Normally while idle in the barracks or after I've been in and out of game menus quickly.
i'm not seeing frequent disconnects from other PSN supported games that I play.
I normally only see the error once a session however it takes turning off my PS3 and restarting it for the re-connect to the network. Otherwise I get the time out error when trying to sign back in even if I quit the game. |

Since uprising, and especially the last week or two I have gone from having a fairly lag free enjoyable game to major lag spikes, disconnects, errors.
Lets seen in the last two weeks I have had;
"You are disconnected due to internal error - Contact CCP"
"Your game is corrupted, please reinstall"
"You have been signed out of PSN network"
"Error (Followed by some numbers)"
PC matches are too laggy to even play (I know I'm in the UK and play with Americans, is this the problem?)
Also CCP, I have been keeping my eye on the eve-offline server graphs for Dust and I see since the DDOS attacks server stability is somewhat erratic. The player count goes up and then down wildly. I can only assume this is when large chunks of the player base are receiving these errors and being booted from the game.

Why don't you guys just make it so that instead of getting booted from the game for a little bit of instability, the game just does a passive refresh to see if the player is actually still connected??? I SHOULD NOT be booted from a game just because my connection fluttered for 5 seconds....... especially when im told "you've been disconnected from PSN" and I look at my XMB menu and it says im still signed in.......
You should set the game up like how COD 5 had it. Years ago when I still played that game I would get signed out of PSN randomly while playing it. However I wouldn't get booted from the game, in fact I could continue playing for a good minute or two before it eventually booted me. This 1-2 minute grace period would allow players to sign back in, OR prevent them from getting booted just because our connection to PSN dipped low for 5 seconds.
I really don't see why our signal strength to PSN has to be at 100% at all times to keep us in matches...... |

Okay im getting the server not available message. Im not being signed out by PSN either. Im ONLY loosing connection from server. Ive ran it quite a few times and ive lowered it down to a glitch with me being in sqaud. Im not sure why its only happening to a handful of people and not myself, but if i join a match solo i have no problem i started doing that for a couple hours to see what happened after three DC's in a row. Then recently tonight i tested out with sqauds, EVERY single time i join a match with a sqaud i get about approx 2 min. into the match and i get DC'd. This issue just started this week.
I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it would fix.
One thing i have noted however, was the patch released this week? And should i have seen a download happen? Because i never saw any instance of a download even after reinstall there was no notice of patching. Im not sure if this is revelant in the least but it is something that i noticed.
And for a game thats supposed to be about squad play and play among corporations it makes it really hard with i cant actually play with my corp or alliance. Any solution to this issue would be greatly appreciated thankyou. |

I, too, am getting this. And I am still connected to PSN when I quit the game. I am just logged out of CCPs servers.
Maybe you guys should call sony, compare logs, and figure out the issue instead of pointing fingers and passing the buck. You might find that the problem actually is on Sonys side. In the very least, you should do the due diligence and remove any doubt.
FYI- it doesn't happen on any other multiplayer game I own. Only Dust514. |

There was a post a while back from someone stating that they received the "You have been disconnected. The server is current not available" message with the added "Press X to retry" etc, but still being connected to the game. Unable to move, shoot, or even access the menus, they were able to still see the kill feed, null cannons being hacked and such.

I've experienced this about 7 times now and have noticed it only happening ever since the DDOS attack. Where I too apparently have been disconnected, but am still in the game, able to view the kill feed and see Null Cannons being hacked. What is even more peculiar is that when I waited for the match to end, upon having Dust514's Disconnection Message being thrown in my face, I got a message saying I have been signed out of PSN. Odd. Why am I still here, sitting in game, watching people kill each other.

^This has happened multiple times a day to me and many others in my corp since the DDoS, Usually during peak US hour's 7-10pm Central. I have Also noticed this will occasionally happen to two people in the same squad, if not at the same time within 30seconds of one another. Although I can see the killfeed etc continue the voice chat stops the moment you receive the message. Also on multiple occasions after experiencing this issue I've gotten back online immediately to see people in my alliance Chan talking about how they just received the disconnected from PSN message. I have not experienced this issue with any other games, and have asked friends who do not play Dust if they've had any issues being disconnected from PSN the last few days and the answer is no.
I am using a wired connection so that's not the issue.
Can we get an update as to whether or not this is being looked into?

Regarding the last part you can blame Sony PSN all you want but when it happens im not actually being logged out of PSN its just the damn game that kicks me out so how is that Sony's fault? I was signed out of PSN perhaps twice during the two months before thd DDos attack. Now I get signed out at least once a day. I've also had a lot more of the infinite loading screen, while voice chat still works. The infinite loading screen has so far only happened when I've been in a proper squad with a lot of voice communications. If I'm soloing or am in a squad with no voice comms, it doesn't seem to happen. |

Wow. That's quite a story.
Even it were as you say, and all these stories of people watching the match proceed after they've been 'signed out' are fairytales, there's no chance that PSN is dropping players because of something your code is doing? Say, maybe something implemented by CCP or Sony to defend against DDoS attacks?

I use a wired connection and currently Eve has no issues connecting to it but earlier in the day I got dropped several times. Just now I've been spamming X to retry the server. If the game is going to have continuous connection issues don't kitten around the issue fix it please. A wireless connection will not cause a DC from the PSN network and stay signed into the router. This is not a home user problem it is one that is a problem with SONY--CCP connection. |

Good times o' powers that be. Thank you for the metaphoircal reaming yet again without the common courtesy of a reach-around. This must be some sort of market equalization strategy.

PLEASE RESOLVE THESE ISSUES or I will kindly ask for a refund for having paid for products that I can only use "sometimes". 1. Game crashes/freezes at random
2. Extreme lag in connection with DUST. I am sick of getting booted from matches and losing because the internet takes a dip for the worst, and the opposing team gets a nice killing streak.
3. Spawn killing. The maps are big enough in several cases that this shouldn't be a problem. Maybe make a permanent "random spawn" (Unless you have a legitimate, and better example, please refrain your argument. Otherwise, doing so only verifies your inclination to abuse spawn points).
I have 30 speed, caps at 33, dips to 23 at lowest. Wired connection. I refuse to do port forwarding/DNS setups for this game. I can play BlackOps ALLLLL day and never once get booted from a match.
Not once.
Not even on a wireless connection.
Thank you for making me feel more frustrated and angry so far than any thing else. I keep playing because I see potential, and I only spent money because I thought I saw steps forward in the connection speed department. I was wrong. |

First started noticing issues about seven hours ago when I was teleporting randomly around the map. Then the disconnects started to happen. I figured it was either my PS3 or my internet. After checking both and resetting my PS3 I tried again to no avail. I then decided to go back to work(I play on my lunch breaks) and try again after. Still had problems and then started getting the disconnects.
You guys getting DDoS attacked again or something? I'm also noticing it takes a lot of time to connect to your forums, switch pages, and reply to posts. |

An hour ago there were 6k players logged on, 5 minutes later 5k, 5 minutes after that 4K, now there are 2k. This is NOT a client side issue. It could be PSN but why only DC when you try to interact with the server? |

People are getting DCd in mass. Guys were watching people get kicked from matches until they themselves were kicked. Some were watching Netflix others playing different games. The only ones kicked from PSN were dust players.
I'd estimate from PC related issues and inventory loses after disconnects our corp is out a billion isk from sever problems. |

CCP Galaxy wrote: But this one "You have been signed out of PlayStation-«Network." is actually toggled by PSN, our game is just get the notification from PSN and display the message.
Well, I understand it's annoying to lost an expansive vehicle when getting unexpected disconnection. But please picture this: if someone lost a vehicle and then unplug cable or turn off router to simulate "PSN Signout" and then we give his inventory back, it's unfair to other player. I think there's no good way to detect whether the disconnection is intentional or unexpected. But anyway, I will forward this to our designers to see if we can have a better solution.
Thanks.
You said it right there. Your game gets a notification from PSN and you pass it along. I have also been in cases where I have randomly be disconnected but can still see the game, my player is still there, the console is still connected.
Can you make your system smarter where, yes it detects the message but you give a small lapse of time where you can click triangle to attempt to reconnect. If it reconnects within xx time, even if it has to kick you out of the game, it could possibly give recent asset loss back? there is no way you can restart your console and reconnect in under 2 minutes, so that sounds like a great number. |

CCP how about a nice response to this? Mass disconnects, with honestly the small amount of tankers responding because the few that are left don't like to be bent over this much, where we also lose tanks to the disconnects. |

Epic.
WTF?
IMHO CCP or someone should contact psn and tell them they should do something about it. |

Still getting this. It's obvious that the connection is still fine, as until you press X to "accept" your boot for being signed out, the battle goes on, killfeed, troop movement, everything work fine. The connection to the internet and CCP is apparently solid. There's something else just jacking us out from matches.
I'd like to add that I never really had this a few weeks ago in the entire time I played.
I had random crashes, but not "you have been signed out of PSN". I'd reiterate that my connection is wired & solid, I've reinstalled, and that I don't have this issue elsewhere. I'd speculate that there is some factor that's been introduced on Sony or CCP's side that is causing higher than average disconnects from the PSN (or creating that error at least). It seems unlikely that many many people suddenly got unreliable connections. |

Ok CCP. Once again, same thing. 5th tank lost to this one specific bug alone. (there's others). And this is out of COUNTLESS other times this has hit while I'm on foot.
Tank lost. Again. So far, I'm out millions of isk to this one. But hey, your hands are washed of it right? Not your problem. It's a PSN/Sony issue apparently. Good times...

This has been happening to me for weeks. Usually get told I've been signed out of PS network, though sometimes its just a drop from the server. Other times the game restarts the whole playstation when I quit the game to restart after a lock up.
By the way don't act like such a bunch of abusive little jerks when a Dev offers assistance.
You don't like it go play Aliens:CM no one from Gearbox has said boo since releasing a bug laden abortion whilst they continue to pedal out DLC. CCp communicate more then any other game developer I've experienced so pull your heads in. I've lost tanks too, I'm unhappy about it, doesn't mean you act like a spoilt little brats.
