As a proto logi MD i can tell you i was a gawd in pubs but a maggot in CBs.(except in enclosed spaces). Also freaking FF is enabled in PC keep the MDs exactly as it was and lol at all the ones who spam it without even trying to aim

This is what I was afraid of I started out in last build pure MD and after seeing the nerfs this build and realizing we had to specialize I figured it wasn't going to be to viable.. Hopefully CCP fixes this ( and a lot of **** in Uprising) part of me misses the MD |

I noticed it the moment I got into match with my EXO. Shots I knew I should "hit" on not connecting. When I did connect, I barely dinged them. Also, I feel kind of screwed that they didn't mention the nerf in the patch notes. They mentioned the HMG, but not us. Our faults for not looking, definitely, but we trusted them to give us that information (since they'd already done it once) and they let us down.
CCP Dev, please? This is almost unusable.
And I'll millionth? the calls for a respec. (Though, at this point, everyone will just agree to go Caldari AR, and they'll be [barring certain builds] right.) |

I got plenty of kills combining it with the Flux grenade. I would throw a flux grenade into the group and then fire the MD, it has a bonus to armor so it was usually a 1, 2 punch. I haven't tried it with the current build but the damage nerf itsn't that high. I still feel it would be effective when used with flux grenades as i did last build. |

doesn't seem like a really good design. you have to be within throwing range to use a grenade launcher? Some people will die of old age before i go through throwing the grenade, it pops, i fire 2-3 times...thats a long time man. |

I totally did rock a MD, but then I found out they weren't very good this build. I did this by waiting for people like you to jump the gun and start crying about it, so thanks for the help.
Oh, and if you're going to call people on being wordy, at least choose a word that's not used in everyday speech or you just end up looking like you skipped school. All of school. |

I'll take another whack at it today but so far I'm pretty disappointed in my MD. Which is a shame because it was just about where it needed to be last patch. Enough of a punch to make someone pause and wait for backup but not so much you'd be a one man kill-squad. |

Flux grenades are not something you can pull out during a direct confrontation. And the damage is not the same as the previous build. Have you even read the links people have shown you?
The more I read your posts, the more I realize that you are probably just trolling.
I consider myself a pretty decent Mass Driver user, and I have trouble scoring direct hits. This is because hitting a moving target directly with a projectile that has travel time is hard. But you keep saying that we all need to aim better and stop whining.
So crap, maybe you are some kind of MD GOD, and I just need to HTFU.
Or maybe I just looked up your KD, and realized that you are a mediocre player that just enjoys trash talking on forums.
Now, I'm no KD chaser, my background is in games like Team Fortress where actually winning defeats all other stats. I lose dropsuits like water in this game. My corpies can attest to my tendency to run face first into bullets in order to break up a group of enemies. But if I can grab a 2.5 KD with suicidal tendencies, what is my MD Zen Master doing with a 1.59?
Is it because you sit on rock all day in Dust, meditating, and only take a shot when the moons align and you can land an honorable shot, one that only does the purest damage, the only damage: Direct Damage. Do your vows forbid you from inflicting the unclean Splash Damage on someone?

But I really doubt it, and you're probably just a crap player crapping in threads without a leg to stand on.
The MD has been nerfed hard. Splash Radius Nerf, Damage Nerf, Distance Nerf, and the Nanohive Nerf is especially tough on MD users.
It's hard to argue that this combination of nerfs has resulted in a balanced weapon. Unless you are a Master MD user like Jack over here. |
