I understand that CCP is hesitant to refund BPO equipment but this has gotten ridiculous. I have a Raven suit collecting dust (har har) because its race specific and I choose not to go Caldari. Please work for the people here to allow us at least one of the following:
- Refund for the suit - Allow us to switch it to another race - Make it like the Dragonfly and not have prereqs |

The problem with those suits is some people got them for free over 6 months ago and some people paid for them.
Thus if they refund them, some people are getting free AUR.
Also, the conundrum here is the fact CCP said they would refund anything that had massive changes for Uprising, and this is one of the big effects.
Im not sure how that is on the legal side, but this is definitely a blow below the belt from CCP. |

That is why I posted up two more options that would not entail a refund of AUR. Either make it so there are no skill requirements or allow people to choose a different suit. That way there is no AUR bloat and you have satisfied customers.

Doesn't the wallet in game keep track of your transactions? That would mean the records exist for CCP to go through. Just run through the transactions for an account alongside current inventory. If the inventory matches a purchase transaction then refund it. If they have the item but no purchase record then leave it. |

Oh im pretty sure they can track it. And I personally think its a low blow to change the requisition of an item that needed real money to be purchased initially.
And CCP's solution will be to refund merc packs and get your character reset to zero or to shut up and stop crying. They wont give you a middle solution.
I havent fired up my PS3 yet (at the office) but Im kinda wondering what happened to my account and what I got / have left |

I don't know. I could see them figuring out a way to deal with these things.
However, don't forget, there are going to be thousands of people pestering them for things over the next while -- as well as dealing with another release.

Would love a no (or low) skill requirement. The whole reason I got the sever suit was to get a low SP investment logi suit. |

If you looked at other threads, this isnt an individual issue. Many people bought the BPO suits. |

I am for a no skill specific suit. I would like to use aur to buy the raven suit, however I'm not caldari assault, thus I can't buy it. I have a sever logi and since I don't have minmatar logi I can't use it either. |

Having BPO suits that would actually benefit from the racial passives IS clever, so I wouldn't want to deprive whoever of that. I just figure a refund considering the super-high skill hurdles and racial choices is warranted.
From their post on this matter:
Quote:What will persist?
Character name, Contacts, Corporation, Stats/Leaderboards, Mail, AUR and ISK currencies, PSN items and items received from events (those not purchasable on the in-game market)
And
Quote:What will be removed or changed? And what will be reimbursed?
All AUR items will be cleared and users reimbursed with their current AUR value (with exceptions noted previously, such as Militia BPOs).
By their own rules, we should've been reimbursed, since many of us actually spent money and just bought these suits - and they're not militia BPOs. The people that got them from events shouldn't be reimbursed, as per the same rule. |

Why the heck didn't they just convert these suits into "basic" tier versions so that people could still use them with minimal SP investment? |

I would like to apologize but the CPM are not your baby sitters and we cannot simply hand hold on every single incident, issue, bug, malfunction or lowered expectations.
If you feel that wronged please login at www.dust514.com and in good detail explain the situation to the GM to obtain best results. I would like to state there are several players including myself who have won these suits under special cases and it would be entirely unfair to anyone else for receive free aurum out of the ordeal. |

For some reason, there is no basic-tier logi. There's just that Fossil militia one. These are effectively somewhat advanced suits that can benefit from racial bonuses I guess... if you happened to skill into Gallente Scout, Minmatar Logi, or Caldari Assault specifically.
That's... fine I guess. I just rather get reimbursed for the aurum paid as that was the pre-uprising message, and it doesn't make sense to penalize people who paid for the suits back when they were small SP investments now that they're multi-million ones. |

Baby sitters? This is seriously the response I get from a CPM for raising a valid concern over money that has been spent and only right before launch did they say no?

Look the computer script cannot differentiate between who would want their bpo's kept or not nor could it tell who bought their bpos before the price changes, nor who got their tribute suit BPOs for FREE.
Would it be fair to you that I got free aurum, aurum I didn't pay a dime for? I won all my tribute suits, I bought my BPOs before the price change, if ccp gave those back in aurum I would have come out far ahead of you nearly 30 fold had they refunded BPOs all together. Is that still FAIR to you?
If you don't like your suits, ask the GM to manually refund them, I am sure it can be arranged and you can re-spend those items specially if they're in a giving mood right now. You could also ask for a total reset, you'll get back your full value of all bought aurum spent or not into this new build. |

There was a weekend event for stress testing where the suits where given out for free.
Skinweaves was also the other suits they gave away and the quafe ones, and the Caldari Navy and Fed Navy Suits. There are quite a bunch of suits they gave out for free that everyone else has to pay lots of aurum for or cannot even obtain anymore.

Given that it was specifically said that AUR would be returned for the items I'd say they are valid concerns. This isn't a small bug that will be fixed soon. I was a deliberate decision by CCP, that currently seems permanent and affects things people spent $$ for.
Addressing those concerns isn't "babysitting" it is the people who are supposed to be the voice of the players voicing the players concerns. Seems to be exactly what you were put into the position to do. |

If you read my post, you would see that Im actually trying to find a workaround that pleases everyone in that they either make them so that there are no racial skill prereqs or that you can switch to the same one in a different race. Im not looking to make money off of this, just find a way that is fair to everyone. |

and right now the cheapest and most cost effective means of getting this done would probably be filing a petition instead of creating and testing new code which may or may not require a new build in order to get it to work. |

You're right Canari this and other responses did seem a bit hostile.
Back on with the topic I am one those people that got the 3 suits from a Merc Pack and even if I given the Aur for the suits it would still allow me to re-buy them if I choose to own them once more or keep the Aur on something I did pay for. I see that fare for everyone.
