Since we are on the topic of tanks, my Madrugar could have survived that, and it has poor modules currently. I think it is more than likely you had aid from an unseen team-mate somewhere throwing his own AV into the mix.

How can you solo one when you rage quit every time someone drops a tank, militia or otherwise?

Definitely. There is no method in DUST to log the fact that you aren't the only super mercenary currently whacking on some random Red.

I had a squad mate take out a STD tanks, don't recall which one, with a scrambler pistol. Of course he will never take a kill like that from my forge gun again. Next time I will reload in time to have two rounds to finish off the tank, leaving him with Assist. Which is fine. After he calmed down the rest of the squad pointed out that all he did was reduce the points since I was defend order and it was my kill. He got no commission from it.

Not on base health alone, but with all my active modules being used I would have scraped by.

No. thts almost 23-25k damage done. You would have not lived.

To actually land all 6 proto swarms and get close enough to get nades on target is no easy task especially by yourself. Because even after 1 swarm a smart tanker woudlve just ran away and start repping/activate all modules and in 5 seconds be back at full health.

This just proves that people who complain when they die in a tank are really complaining because they suck at tanking.

Don't want to get into a math war here, but you are exaggerating the damage of the AV, and also completely discounting my passive and active armor resists. Not to mention my armor repper and shield booster, and also I would've gotten the F out of dodge after the first swarm volley.

I'm actually a Logibro with a Mass Driver. I'm suggesting prefect imbalance through fun countermechanics and variety while you QQ about tanks and want this game to be Assault 514. People like you represent the nail in the coffin of creativity the FPS genre that's ever so slowly lowering into it's plot with each passing CoD title being released.

If people like you didn't cry and rage quit so much, there'd be some real meta game in Dust 514 aside from the forum warrioring you're failing miserably to do. @Bob, sounds like you were being pimp slapped with Flux Nades. All other nades do decreased damage to shields, including swarms. They do + damage VS armor.

How I solo tanks.
Take one sever logi suit add two complex damage mods stir in a breech MD. Fold in two prox mines and a compact hive. I like to use AV nadez but flux work well also. Now pour you prox into a spot where the tank with be moving over. Let the proxes simmer in the heat of battle. When the tank rolls over them charge in with the MD blazing and chuncking AV nades. It's cheap, fun and it works. Serve with tears to friends for a wonderful time.

For the cheapest way to get a 3k swarm launcher do the following steps.

Get a Proto swarm
Get an A Series
Stick triple damage mods on the A Series (all 10x damage mods, that gives you 10%, 8.7% and 5.7% due to stacking penalties iirc)
Find tank.
Place Nanohive
Fire.

Good work OP, can you explain to us what the tanker was doing at the time? Where were you? Was he stuck? was he far too cocky and stayed out in the open hoping to tank you? It is easy for the rest of us to say "Haha what a noob thinking he could sit out in the open and not die" but we're jumping to conclusions.

I've been solo'd plenty of times in my tank, it wasn't that I planned to be out in the open, more than I tried to escape but was very far from the redline (We'd been holding the enemy redline then suddenly all the points flipped and now I'm being chased by protoswarms hitting me from behind, ofcourse I can't make it back to the redline because this guy is behind cover blocking the only retreat I have, If I try the other way I end up in a swarm of red infantry with AV nades) lose lose situation.

I have proto swarms and 3 complex dmg mods and get about 2600 dmg per swarm. Unless I hit vehicle crit spots. Also whether it's shield or armor.

in short, this guy manage to get close (alone) withoug getting shot. then it required him to do ~25k in damage in ~15 seconds of uninterrupted shooting on a tank that was close and didnt bother to fire back or move into cover...

in short: tank driver was terrible and tank loss deserved. This just proves that people who complain when they die in a tank are really complaining because they suck at tank driving.

Did the grenades come long after the swarm lauchers have been recovered from? the nades alone did 9000 dmg, even with mods your looking at around 50% damage reduction on average so from 9000 to 4500, still like 2/3 of a tanks health.

Proto swarms shoot 6 missles, each doing at least 300 damage basic, so 6x300 =1800 per volley, so 1800 x 6 would be 10800 dmg alone, considering 9000 hitpoints is considered alot for tanks the 9000 from one person worth of grenades is a bit much. Congratulations you apperntly destroyed one tank with 2-3 tanks worth of damage

At first I wasn't sure whether I believed this or not but it is entirely plausible that a tank driver allowed this to happen. That is the big point though, the tank driver allowed this. Any driver worth his salt would have been absolutely hauling out of there as soon as the first nade or swarm hits. To be able to hit with 6 swarms and 3 AV nades you'd need at least 15 - 20 seconds and to be really close. Anyone who stays within range of you for that long when you're clearing AVing them, is just not a good tanker, no matter how anyone might try to dress it up.

this is just proof the new tanks are even crappier.
