I was getting hit by Forges and Swarms too. Some fun times. oh yea that was one of the best tank repping battles I have had, they tend to get fun at times, got my first failure at it today though, that Sageris had 63k total HP and ran so fast under building it was getting insane.
63k hp.... i... wow ... and people seriously complain about swarm launches ? |

Do remote shield transporter and remote armor repairer still have stupidly short range and the terrible lock on mechanic? If yes dropships aren't really viable as triage, especially with current defenses. |

tanks are so weak they are put in the same skill category as LAVs (LOL no joke, race> LAV operation, >> tanks or LAV scout/logi)
What I suggest we do, for 556k ISK we can form this load-out: 2x light clarity shield transporters, 1x light remote efficiency, 2x light azotopic shield extenders, 1x local PG unit (the 1 that boosts shields and stuff) 2x ST missle turrets, Myron haul. its a very cheap load-out for us pilots and what it will do is:
spam CCPs vehicle module charts with triage modules used by DSes.
keep our tank brethren healthy by giving a 24/7 shield heal and back up armor rep.
etc, I see it as worth it but note I got shield control lv5, shield boost lv5, field mechanics lv5, combat engineering lv5 etc so not all pilots will be able to jump on and do this, but to those who are dedicated enough please join me in repping tanks when they have 6k HP or more and the awards will be received through mail, CCP putting this at the top of their to do list and to help out the weakened proto tanks.
i only read the first sentence and need that cleared up but at fanfast they said the complete opposite in fact their are a lot more ways you can earn WP now apprently where you getting your info from I didn't like using them on grims or gorgons because it killed their ability to tank and it still wasn't as manuevable as their caldari equivalent with nanofibres on. Caldari dropships on the other hand they made feel feather light and with an afterburner on you could outrun swarms easily. Those things were do fun go fly because their were incredibly responsive and damn fast. They were simply a joy to fly, now they're going. Anyway I'd recommend you try them if you haven't already it's gonna be your last chance. CCP Fanfest advancing the core vid, none of its coming till "the new future 1-12 months" what we will get is a blindfold to distract us in the mean time (well, better something then nothing but I really hope the support role WP come in sooner then later). @ghbg sorry bro, Gallante DSes weren`t ment to be as good as the Caldari the Minimatar will be cool though, Ammar? appearance and turrets cool but usefulness will be down the drain from the expected stats (super armor tanking DS....idk how that's a good investment as of now).

well I`m used to flying low and slow, been doing it so long and haven't found to many issues after a week of triaging but yes you do fly low and near tanks but it will be easier come May6th ...... AND CHEAPER! |

I saw a pilot drop two snipers into a roof. Then he crashed into building. I never piloted. is it really that hard? |

It takes some knowledge and a little practice.
Check out my "Dropship Flight School" thread in the Training ground forum.
I will be writing a new edition for Uprising with improved explanations and diagrams, as well as sections for fittings and tactics. |

new controls on May 6th so depending on how it works there will be pilots acwardly flying around the first 3 days lol, it seem better flight mechanics though, just got to get used to R2 / L2 rather then the L1 / L2 ... my mian intrest is, where are the modules activated? it can`t be L1 since its zoom, R1 is fire, O is eject, square has some use in the future... maybe X or triangle? I would hate it to be L3 or R3 to be honest. |
