And if I did the math correctly, I should be getting (if returned at current market value like they said.) 198160 AUR is how much I should get back. How much aurum will you guys be getting if it still happens like they say. |

You assume an AUR refund at current market prices for everything you have ever purchased with AUR.
No claim was ever put forward that such would be the case.
I could be wrong but it seems that they will only refund AUR for obsolete items that are removed from the market permenantly. |

this is what I saw, your probably wrong ( I hope so )
" When the upcoming Uprising build is released on May 6th, your character(s) will be reimbursed all the skill points that they have earned and used to date, for redistribution under the new schema. Note that this re-spec only applies to your current skills, and items that you have in your inventory. The refund value of ISK and AUR items will be based on the market value at the time of the re-spec." - http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/04/17/dust-514-uprising-may-6th-skill-system-upgrade/ |

If this math involves getting over 100 times more AUR refunded than you payed I doubt that's going to happen. That's not how the world works. |

It's how it works in Dust though, because he bought things that were very cheap in closed beta and if they remove them he'll get today's market value AUR. |

And then think about it like this. You bought a car for 10000 muney. A few months later, they raised the price on that same car to 19800 muney, and took your car from you (you already bought it, and cheaper for the current price at that) but only gave you what you paid for it in the beginning . You still want that car, but now you dont have enough to get it. |

BPOs, Boosters, and UVTs(maybe) probably won't get refunded. Consumable weapons/suits/modules/vehicles are the ones that probably will.
Quote:You may have committed to a certain play style, and with an overhauled layout and collection of skills, you may find yourself regretting some of your prior choices.
Boosters, UVTs, and Militia BPOs don't involve making a "commitment" to any particular play-style. |

Boosters, UVTs, and Militia BPOs don't involve making a "commitment" to any particular play-style. Thank you! I'm really, really glad I'm not the only person that realizes this. That's the same reason they're not touching your officer gear. EDIT: Should add "probably", I know. This is how I understood it from reading the blog. CCP is not known for their clear and concise communications so I've learned to it's best to base your understanding on the overall feel of what they're saying and never assume anything based on a single line or a few words. |

Correct, but you're also making the assumption that every item you've purchased(and still posses) will get refunded. We're both making assumptions here, so your math could be right, or it could be completely off. |

I was speaking in a general sense when one is reading things from CCP. English is a second or third language for most of the people there so their word choice can be a little odd sometimes so I was just saying it's better not to get too hung up on what each and every world implies.
I know my little edit on there about I should have said "probably" but actually that only applies to the officer gear. As far as the BPO's go if you bought them at the original price back in the day you are not going to refunded the current price of them. Don't get your hopes up, it's not going to happen. |

It's becuase he, like me, bought militia bpos at 40AUR and they now sell for 5000 AUR a pop. So we are making a profit becuase we got to be in the closed beta test |

Some of the BPOs will probably be refunded, like the dropsuits. Unlike the militia gear, the MAG tribute suits (as well as others I think) require you to have at least one level in that specific suit, so I could reasonably see those getting refunded. Militia BPOs could go either way. |

Ok... so you guys actually think you're going to 5000 AUR back for something you paid 40 AUR for? Yea, good luck with that. That's over a 10,000% profit for a small percentage of the player base. And all that free AUR can be used to buy more "P2W" gear? Not a chance of hell is that going to happen.
Not to mention those militia items don't take any skills to use so there is no reason to refund them.
Same goes for salvage. I doubt you'll be getting a refund for salvaged gear since you didn't pay for it. That's what I think anyway but they might do that for salvage that is available for purchase. I doubt it , but it's possible. But no way can anyone be expecting a whole bunch of free AUR. |

And I bought 5 of some back when they were all 30-60 AUR.
Even if they don't take em all back....if they take even just ONE, hell that's 11k x 3 to 5....makes it well worth it.
So I'm squarely in the "GET RID OF ALL THE MILITIA BPO'S!!!" camp. |

Sorry your wrong. As stated earlier you will get the current replacement cost for any item removed BPO or not. Again, Sorry. |

The idea is that anything that is removed will be refunded with the amount needed to buy the item again at the new price. But as others have already said, i can't see militia gear being changed all that much so probably won't be removed. I wouldn't get yourhopes up if you overstocked. If you only have single BPOs, you'll probably be wanting to buy them back again anyway. |
