If this math involves getting over 100 times more AUR refunded than you payed I doubt that's going to happen. That's not how the world works. |

Boosters, UVTs, and Militia BPOs don't involve making a "commitment" to any particular play-style. Thank you! I'm really, really glad I'm not the only person that realizes this. That's the same reason they're not touching your officer gear. EDIT: Should add "probably", I know. This is how I understood it from reading the blog. CCP is not known for their clear and concise communications so I've learned to it's best to base your understanding on the overall feel of what they're saying and never assume anything based on a single line or a few words. |

I was speaking in a general sense when one is reading things from CCP. English is a second or third language for most of the people there so their word choice can be a little odd sometimes so I was just saying it's better not to get too hung up on what each and every world implies.
I know my little edit on there about I should have said "probably" but actually that only applies to the officer gear. As far as the BPO's go if you bought them at the original price back in the day you are not going to refunded the current price of them. Don't get your hopes up, it's not going to happen. |

Ok... so you guys actually think you're going to 5000 AUR back for something you paid 40 AUR for? Yea, good luck with that. That's over a 10,000% profit for a small percentage of the player base. And all that free AUR can be used to buy more "P2W" gear? Not a chance of hell is that going to happen.
Not to mention those militia items don't take any skills to use so there is no reason to refund them.
Same goes for salvage. I doubt you'll be getting a refund for salvaged gear since you didn't pay for it. That's what I think anyway but they might do that for salvage that is available for purchase. I doubt it , but it's possible. But no way can anyone be expecting a whole bunch of free AUR. |

Sorry your wrong. As stated earlier you will get the current replacement cost for any item removed BPO or not. Again, Sorry.
So you think they're going to pay you and let you keep the item? Hahahahaha no. |

So you think they're going to pay you and let you keep the item? Hahahahaha no. My bad, mate. Misread what you were trying to say. Thought you were saying whether they were removed or not, not whether they were a BPO.

If an Item is removed from your inventory, you will be paid the current rate of what it used to cost.
So, if it would cost you 11k AUR to buy...say a Militia PG upgrade, and you have 5 copies of that, and that is something that CCP takes away from the game or makes changes to which means they have to take it out of inventory, then you will receive 55K Aurum in exchange for it.
Why is this so hard for you to grasp?
The amount of players that bought the BPOs at the previous price of 30-60 AUR is relatively small. We're all closed beta players. So we luck out, for once. Big whoop. Most of us will just spend it on boosters anyways because that's the only thing that really matters in this game unless you do CB's all the time and don't have the SP for Proto Gear.
Now, no where does J say that you get to keep anything.
Fact is we don't know what will and what won't be taken from our inventories...it could be one item, they may change out 50 items...we don't know (well, I don't anyways).
All the suits we have now...those are about to become "racial variants". It's possible that ALL the suits get taken back and we get refunded our ISK in exchange.
Got now, Junior?
Ok.
None of what you said addressed my point so I'll break it down for you and use small words. If CCP removes militia BPO's then that dev blog could be taken to mean I will be receiving around 900,000 free AUR, which is about $300 US. But since that is completely stupid they will not be removing militia BPO's. Also since militia BPO's are not affected by skills then even seriously thinking you're going to "luck out" like that is also completely stupid.
Now go lie down and rest, I know that was a lot to take in at once. And don't call me Junior, Sport. |
