like i said my corp isnt big enough as of now to own a district in PC but once we get a decent amount we will try and take a bigger planet with more districts for all the corps but im willing to help any of you that need help defending. |

Hey Dark Prometheus I think what you're doing is a great idea because you're absolutley right, if the small corporations don't band together we'll all get slaughtered by the mega-corporations. So I'd like to put in a request for my corp the Interplanetary Mercernaries Guild to join the Federation. We have 29 members and one of which is an EvE capsuleer. Hope my corp can join!

hmmmm a coalition of small corps does sounds nice, but whats to say the alliance will stay peacefully??? whats to stop another corp going rogue by either giving up districts on purpose or back stabbing other corps?
not saying that it will happen its a nice idea thats for sure, but for us small corps we'd like to know whats on the table before committing.

Mutual support. The whole premise is that we cannot defend all our territory by ourselves individually as a small corp, and obviously breaking your agreement to the alliance, your territory will likely be dissolved as the rest of the corps would bring allllll kinds of pain to you and yours.
BUT, that's also the wonders of the EVE universe... BACKSTABBING is a completely legit game mechanic heh. |

What is considered a small Corp? We have over 150+ members but then again thats nothing compared to PRO. I'd be more than happy to have DIOS EX. join your Federation just to help out new Corps not get utterly obliterated from PC alltogether. Plus the More players and allies to squad up with is always a good thing. Without a doubt Planetary conquest will be dominated by the major Corps in the game who have alliances within EVE. Something we currently don't have, so this is a good security measure for us as well.
We aren't an elite Corp either. We have our best guys and great players like any other Corp but we also have quite a few casuals that would like to experience Corp Battles but can't due to whats at stake. This coalition of yours could resolve that issue. Whether it's for training or ISK, I think our guys would be happy to take part in it.

yeah the CEO's would have to decide whether to participate or not, i know a lot of people are looking at the positive side of this but i like to see the negative side as well. dont want to have our corp join just to lose everything.
like Durn said, backstabbing is a legitimate strategy in the EVE universe, and a backstabbing event can cause a lot of distrust within the coalition. mutual understanding... sure but how MUCH of an understanding. a fake corp with alt guys can easily join in, lose districts on purpose of even attack districts occupied by weaker corps. so what if they lose? its a fake corp with alt players. things like that can definitely cause a rift in the coalition and cause us to lose it all at once.
im pretty sure our CEO's is thinking the same problem as i am, so the main question is what can this coalition guarantee for us smaller corps that problems like this wont happen? there is so many unknowns in this that makes it difficult to commit.  |

I can't speak for all the CEO's in FSC, but I can't imagine you guys would get turned away.
You are absolutely right Alina, in comparison to larger corps, 150+ members in a corp is relatively small.

I doubt they can guarantee you anything, you just have to look at the Risks and benefits and ask yourself "is it worth it?". CCP, builds the game in a manner to allow for things like this to happen on purpose. It's all part of the Harsh world of New Eden. No matter how safe or well protected you are there will always be someone ready to Steal, cheat or betray you. I like it this way to be honest, it provides a more realistic world to play in. Real life is full of deceit and mistrust. |

Just wanted to address a few questions and comcerns.
We are a federation that sticks together, if we have a backstabber amongst us, they will be dealt with by the whole federation and some of our outside support, to say the least, the will not survive the barrage of beatings they will take from us, our federation has some very good mercs, however, I've played with just about all the CEOs and some of the other active players in the federation and we all get along very well so I'm not concerned about this.
The federation is here to stay for the long haul whether we are in conquest or not, we can always do FW together as well as support each other in corp battles.
To the small corp question, you k ow that answer better than me, you say you have about 150 people but how many are active? We have 50 but only about 10-15 active mercs so we are still small.... 150 is probably about medium sized but it depends on the amount of active players, however, we would still love to have your support regardless.
To become part if the FSC, join the channel FSC and start squading up and making connections with the other corps. |
