Not sure where the info comes from, but gives a specific date/ features and was written about 15 mins ago. Press release copy/pasta I assume. (Author states it is)

It does seen like a legit date considering Eve is starting a new decade and it is after fanfest. But CCP did mention we might see things coming our way before then. Need CCP to confirm though.

while im pleased you have a date going toe to toe with defience is very bad idea and as general feedback goes this is a huge time with fanbase allready fed up if this new build is not the "kitten" you will have killed any chance of dust being a major contented rather than just being a fun extra EvE players can play.

though i will doubt i will get an answer why has it taken so long for a new build when months ago you said the game is was nearly ready for release. if stuff has been majorly re-worked it might be worse going back into a closed beta state iv never seen a game come out of rework well (cought matrix, cough starwars cough)

i can't speak for all the teams but we have been really hard at work just building new features. The move to TQ was not free, that required a LOT of development time and effort, and True Grit has been hard at work building Planetary Conquest. Not rebuilding DUST, just adding a huge feature. On top of all that we don't get to work on this new build right up until it's release, it does have to go through Sony QA before they will update the build. So we don't even get all of the next 2 months to work on it. :(

Not our hands tied, it just means while we wait for that build to go through QA we start work on the next one. Then when it comes out we jump back and fix bugs, then go back to working on the next build. It's fine, doesn't really mean much for you guys the time between builds is the same. It just means I have to sit here waiting for work we finished to get released... more like Sony teases us with our own content. :(

That's known as balancing, it's just when they did that they forgot that dropships have a long shopping list of things they need so they woudn't be useless

We've yet to see how well CCP will do AI in a FPS, so we should probably reserve judgement on who's will be better until we see what CCP does. I've yet to see a game where SOMEONE wasn't complaining that the AI was stupid, so I doubt this game will be any different in that respect.

That sucks. Having written code before, I find it very hard to figure out what my own code does when viewing it after I've had to set it down for a while. Then again, I'm really bad at commenting :)

In the short few days I played the defiance beta (more like demo, considering it lasted less than a week) i can confidently say that defiance is definitely not a threat.
It's DCUO with guns, and DCUO is nothing special. Defiance has a LONG way to go to be HALF as addictive as dust is even in its Current build.
