people will believe as they will. when our email received the personal information as an editor I contacted Bruce. As the creator of the blog he decided [correctly i might add] to contact the victim. they are the only person we had a responsibility to. we forwarded them the emails so they could take appropriate action.

this was not the first time we had received personal info so we decided to also address it on a broad scale. this type of news is not welcome in gaming or on our blog and we decided to make it known. witch hunts? curiosity? those are personal issues. we went nameless in our article because the message condemning cyber-stalking was whats important. not who & what. those of you who wanted the gory details simply dont see the big picture.

more importantly, going into the details does nothing but promote what the offender wanted in the first place: to publish private and personal info with the intent of being hurtful. did u ever stop to ask yourselves if the victim wanted their personal life open to the community? to those who think we were grandstanding we could care less. this cyber stalking tactic needed to be killed at the root and we addressed it using our voice. if u dont like that? dont read.

we appreciate those of you in the community [dennie, hanz, sha karn, nova and others] for taking a stand against this act. if the 'you got what u deserved' trolls had their way, this kind of behavior would be commonplace and accepted. thank u for shutting them down and reminding everyone what decency is.

The exact reason why I don't associate myself with some of you nerds. Judging by the way some of you respond to certain posts, I can confirm some of you are either gaming addicts, low-self esteem Internet personalities, psychopaths, anti-social or are in dire need of group therapy .

Many thanks to your staff for having the moral courage to stand up to this bullshit instead of feeding it. For those that thought this was a good idea - Learn to play EVE, for ****'s sake. This isn't "metagaming". It's juvenile bullying, and its used by people who aren't clever enough to deal with in-game issues using in-game means. It's petty, pointless, cruel, and unbecoming of the community. Whoever submitted this needs to take some time and space away from the game and do some serious rethinking of why they're here in the first place.
