Since direct transfers between dusters will not be implemented for some time I will be offering ISK transfer and escrow services.
I feel that this service will enable parties and corporations to engage in numerous transactions and dealings that will be a benefit to the parties engaged in the transactions and the community as a whole. The holding corporation will be set up latter today and my associate will be handling the transactions. |

As Mr Spero has stated, I will be helping him execute the escrow services by joining your corp and receiving the ISK you wish to transfer or hold in escrow for a contract. |

Hey, Bojo. I'll create a corp and we can 'battle' your corp for 10mil ISK. But you should lose on purpose. I'll invest this ISK and double it and we can do it again but I'll let you win 15mil ISK. Want to set this up for tomorrow? |

The fact of the matter is without direct ISK transfers between organizations or characters there is going to be a lot we can't do. With an escrow service pretty much any contract can be enforced. This will be run independent of my current organization. |

To be honest.. It's actually not a bad idea. I don't own a corp so it really doesn't affect me I just can't see many people trusting this - especially all of the people who haven't really played EVE but have heard about these grand schemes that have happened :P |

I've been in Eve for 8 years and have never been involved in a scam. I've even run an profitable Eve-side IPO that was started to raise capital for a freighter transport ship and then used the profits to pay the shareholders.
Heck, I'm currently holding in escrow all of the tourney prizes including 3 Plex, 3 Merc Codes, and Dust 514 T-shirts. |

Chribba can attest to the benefit of a service like this.
This service isn't going to be free mind you. There will be associated costs for my time and services. I make more money in the long run through legitimate transactions. |

Then you've been doing it wrong. I'll give you 150 prototype weapons to give me all the ISK you receive from clients. |

For whatever it's worth, I would quite comfortably transfer any sum of money through this service, if I had a bunch of money to transfer.

No thanks. To me this is about both making money and providing a service to the community. In order to have deeper gameplay, we need some semblance of a contract service. If CCP doesn't have have a contract market when District conquest goes live, I'll make it myself. |

Unless you ARE Chribba, I'm not giving you isk. Ever hear the story of Eve-Bank?
Eve-bank was an investment bank corp set up in eve. There was a huge advertising blitz, including RL ad space in EON magazine, asking people to set up an account and deposit isk. The money would be loaned to other corps to fund cap ship and station construction, and interest would be charged, which you would then earn on your savings. There was a period during startup where no loans would be given out while they built up capital, and so no interest would be given.
All in all, very legit-looking, and very interesting, so many, many players opened accounts and deposited much, much Isk.
However, when the grace period ended, the CEO of the corp simply said "thank you", pocketed the money, and closed the corp.

Your concern relies on the assumption that Kane has an interest in becoming infamous at a cost to the operations he has at present which rely on his honesty. I get the impression that his efforts as an honest businessman are more important to him, so wouldn't hesitate to use this service. |

First off Eve online bank scandal I was there.
Look, all I'm saying is that trust is hard to come by in New Eden. The one player trusted by the majority of Eve players, Chribba, spent years providing services to the community and building a reputation as a fair provider of game-related services before he offered to act as a go-between for large transactions. He is the only player to have Titans (not one but at least four) in high security space, which he uses for mining. He is completely impartial to all null-sec politicking. It took him years to build up a reputation for trustworthiness above all. Even then, not everyone is willing to trust him for a transaction.
I don't know Kane. All I know is that so many instances of theft and confidence games in New Eden that CCP made a trailer about it. I'm going to be cautious |

Kane has spent a lot of time here earning the trust of the veteran community. If that was all for a chance to steal some transactions it would be one of the more stupid time investments to actual payout I've ever witnessed.
I would be very interested in using this service. Depending on the agreed upon exchange rates I might be interested in sending the ISK in either direction.
As long as the transactions are taken care of in a quick manner (1-2 days) the overall amount of ISK will be relatively small. EvE bank only became so large because they were holding all of the investment money. If they clear all the transactions quickly the overall risk of getting scammed is actually quite small. Any loss of confidence will destroy the whole service so I am pretty sure all the transactions will be completed. |

There are trusted 3rd party services in eve, and i see no reason it couldnt eventually happen in dust. It just takes time to build up that trust and a reputation within the community. Only time will tell if its a scam or not (though they quite often can be). Just have to see what kind of testimonials he gets form customers, then decide for yourself.
Personally the only person id trust is Chribba but thats just me. |

How I'd go about making an escrow / ISK transfer service;
1) Give Chribba 20 billion ISK equivalents to hold in escrow. 2) Create a contract to forfeit the escrow in case of an attempt to scam the customers. 3) ??? 4) Profit. |

IF this start-up goes well, I don't see why Kain Spero would snatch the monies and betray all the people who have put their trust on him. That would be just stupid. Of course there's more money to make by keeping this legitimate and collecting fees of the transactions and what not. And there's demand for this kind of service before we have other means of transferring ISK to people. |
