This exploit is due to a design flaw. The button used to "Select default spawn location" keeps changing between X and Square depending on whether or not there are any Clone Units or Drop Uplinks. But most players always hit X.
So what you do is where a free dropsuit in Ambush and place Drop Uplinks wherever your team will get killed the fastest, and go hide. Most players will keep hitting the X button to respawn even though the default spawn button changed from X to Square.
You get +25 points for each spawn times up to 80 spawns for up to 1250 war points, thousands of skill points, and 100-200 ISK. You are likely to get first place on your team. |

This idea is worse then AFk farming! You're damning your whole team for points you could earn doubly just by playing. |

I hear drop uplinks used by ppl not in squad can also be used by other ppl not in squad. Which usually just means 4 people get left out lol |

So you put two more down after 20 spawns. |

I have actually done this and it works well, once in a while I run out and place a new one to fool them into thinking its a better spot. Use this when up against good squads and that way your team gets killed faster as the enemy camps the uplink. Level up your drop uplinks as well for maximum effect, but don't place more than one out at a time as the enemy has a harder time spawn killing and you get less WP |

Wouldn't work. Logi's on your team would likely have their own uplinks set up. If people see that one location is being camped, they will just warp in to the safer location. |

The OP's post is one of the more self-serving ones I've seen on the forums as of late. I guess congratulations of dubious nature are in order for you and your so-called university. |

You are missing the point. The reason this works is so many newberries in random Ambush games do not realize use can use default spawn with the Square. And I am usually the only person placing uplinks. |

I'd be fine if this was posted in the feedback forum with a request to make a change to the spawnsystem. But posting this as a tip? Really, Galen? What were you thinking?
Place the uplink in a save spot, defend it and help your team and I guarantee you you will get more SP, ISK and more respect.
Also DUST University certainly does not promote this kind of behaviour. |

I know this is New Eden and all....but I'm not one to condone team killing in a match...
But I'll also note that this has been considered a "viable" tactic in these forums for a long time...
And just so I don't have to hear this later.........yes, an argument can be made that you're making blueberries more tactically aware of the battlefield and their control scheme..... *sigh*

This works like a charm, but has been posted before. For added bonus you an also put down some nano hives. Some people just love to shoot into nothing and reload for added bonus points. |

Each uplink spawns ten times, and you can put sown two at a time. So replace after 20 respawns. You get +25 points for each spawn times up to 80 spawns for up to 1250 war points, thousands of skill points, and 100-200 ISK. You are likely to get first place on your team. I find Galen GaiaGÇÖs post very disappointing, particularly since you can get almost the same results WP wise by placing your Uplink in a fortified or strategic position where it benefits your team.
Abusing the player base in this manner and AFK WP farming is not the sort of game play that DUST University promotes. I am very disappointed to see one of our members posting such suggestions. |

If I was a director he would have been out of the Corp 10 minutes ago. Well, actually I am at work right now, but I would be heading home on my Coffee break and dealing with it! I am sure a Director will get wind of this before long. |

This can just as easily be used in a positive manner by placing the Uplink in at a defensible position where all the spawning blueberries can back each other up and have cover to hold off the advancing Reds. Add a Nano Hive and you may just snatch a victory out of a losing match. |
