I know this is New Eden and all....but I'm not one to condone team killing in a match...
But I'll also note that this has been considered a "viable" tactic in these forums for a long time...
And just so I don't have to hear this later.........yes, an argument can be made that you're making blueberries more tactically aware of the battlefield and their control scheme..... *sigh*
*walks away shaking his head sadly...*

The directors of Dust University are aware of the situation and admit that it violates the code of conduct. However, they plan to discuss and determine what action to take as, frankly, this is the first time we've ran into this situation...and there's several angry bunnies hopping the DUni hallways at the moment..... |

Reav Hannari wrote:I understand the way things work in New Eden. I'm all for the scamming, the back stabbing and bringing overwhelming force to the fight. I go into ambush without a squad to spawn blueberries where I want them too. I don't drop them somewhere just to watch them die but I do use them as leverage to try and win the fight.
What Galen did was against his corp rules and he forced corp leadership to react. He made a statement which represented his corp because he wears the ticker. You were right when you said you should have posted with an alt if you were going to come at it sarcastically because sarcasm doesn't transmit well through text. DUST Uni is uptight because it is trying to uphold a reputation as a place where you can go to learn.
Not sure where the comment about honor came from.
I like how Reav put it....As DUni members we have certain expectations in regards to code of conduct in order to facilitate a learning environment. We have no interest in being judgemental. Our intention is not to rail against certain methods of play...you simply can not employ some methods as a DUni member because of the type of effect it has on the environment for the players within the corp and those players that may consider joining our ranks in the future. It's all about the end goal...learning...and that require stability and dicipline. |

Galen Gaia wrote:I would like to say I am sorey for using that tactic with a charcter that is a member of DUST University because unethical behavior by a member makes the corp look bad. I apologize.
*Throws an arm over Galen's shoulder*
You're a good guy Galen and I think everyone, that reads, better understands your intent...now do ME a favor and hold up posting in the public forums until the directors get back to you, eh? I don't want to see you run into any more issues because of good intentions... |

ReGnUM Public Relations wrote:@ DUST University Ivy League This post is an absolute abomination to everything Imperfects stand for. This information neither helps new players nor betters the community as a whole. This information only benefits the individual, at the expense to the whole team. The Imperfects pride ourselves in idea that winning and SP/WP gain come hand in hand. Clearly, DUST University Ivy League league does feel the same.
As of right now Imperfects is cutting off all ties and support to DUST UniversityIvy League until the OP makes official apology to the community.
Thank you for your time,
Respectfully Imperfect PR office.
Thanks for illistrating the proper use of sarcasm |
