The dark cloud Seraphim Initiative. CRONOS. 1115	Posted - 2013.03.12 12:31:00 - [1] - Quote Allright time for some "interesting" conversations about that new fancy scout suit we got today for playing the merc battles. Equipment: -Militia shield extender (only 1 high slot) -Black Eagle shotgun (black painting STD shotgun) -Black Eagle Assault Rifle (this weapon is rated as S "sidearm) -Fused Locus grenades -no low slots -no equipment slot Skills required: -none This is a extreme unqiue dropsuit cause it actually has 2 light weapons. And that assault rifle is looked at as a sidearm which is another thing to discuss. So are we going to see in the future specialised assault rifles which go into the S slot or dropsuits which are capable to carry 2 light weapons? Like mentioned this dropsuit has only 1 high module slot, no equipment or low slots. So to be aible to carry 2 light weapons you loose some other important stuff. I think the forgegun on a assault suit is again becoming a viable option.

I like the idea of two light weapons slots, it may be just the encouragement that i need, to spend more SP in the scout dropsuit. And yes i agree that a heavy weapon / light weapon combo lots very lightly. Or maybe a Medium weapon / light weapon combo for assault dropsuits ?

Thanks for this bit of insight too +1 meta level 3 pg 15 90 cpu which really don't make much of a difference as switching out anything not really worth it and the black eagle ar is same stats as an exile and if you try to replace it only gives sidearm options

It's not 2 Light slots though, it's one LIght, one Sidearm, but the AR is designated as a Sidearm. I may be wrong, but it seems to have happened for me. Like with any other weapon that's pre-fitted, if you want it back, just unequip the weapon you replaced it with. Don't use "replace" and look for it, just hit "remove" and the Shotgun should come back.

The CreoDron LAV was unusual because it could actually tank really well but since it was a limited edition item they won't be seeing much action from me. I'll put the Black Eagles suit in my collection and maybe slowly pass them around to friends later for those that don't get the opportunity to get them for themselves. /me looks over collection of ships received over the last five years.

I can see these being expensive once the player-market opens up

We should have no problem trading the event items though. Of which I have plenty. I'm holding on to my Methanas, I may even end up buying yours.

You'll still only be able to have the usual limit of ONE booster active at a time, no matter how many you own or how much of what currency you paid for them. I can't see the possible "abuse" here. Am I missing something?

I guess their main focus would be assassinations and arrests of corrupt members of the Federation, not outright combat in the front lines. Maybe you'll get BE Assault at best, and then Heavies will be Navy Issue officer gear.

By the way with no slot to place a repair armor item has this suit IMHO being a see me in this suit only and thats it since battlefield use will only get me killed. Once again thanks for this item.

Now I wish CCP would release a Scout Type C with no low slots or equipment slots but two light weapon slots, except once you get to the "Vk. 2" which would have one low slot and equipment slot added.

My Firebrand suit makes me look like a Logi or Heavy and i'll be first to contact you about them firebrand suits.. well if you could grab a screenie so i can make sure its right one. i bought a bunch of stuff in closed beta (early closed beta) but never had them back. i had the original gold/black suit and the pure white one (bone? was it?) so if anyone has any of them come see me and i'm sure i can work some trades over :D

BTW, the Firebrand are the gold/black, there is a white one (can't remember its name) and the Relics are the blue/black. Why this solution of giving 10 pcs after the event? For BPOs I can understand it, but why not make the suits part of the Salvage. You win, you get 1 (one!) suit, in each Merc battle :p Not that I mind getting 10 scout suits, but I'd rather fight for them...
