Most freebies from CCP are collector's items and not intended to be useful on the field. The CreoDron LAV was unusual because it could actually tank really well but since it was a limited edition item they won't be seeing much action from me.
I'll put the Black Eagles suit in my collection and maybe slowly pass them around to friends later for those that don't get the opportunity to get them for themselves.
/me looks over collection of ships received over the last five years.

lol...I do that with some of my alt-color suits from the closed beta. My Firebrand suit makes me look like a Logi or Heavy |

I don't think we'll be able to trade boosters, people might find a way to abuse the system. We should have no problem trading the event items though. Of which I have plenty.

You'll still only be able to have the usual limit of ONE booster active at a time, no matter how many you own or how much of what currency you paid for them.
I can't see the possible "abuse" here. Am I missing something? |

Yep.... look at the speed specs.  add to that a nice couple of weapons to kill other scouts.... and you have the perfect formula. |

Are there any plans to give away some collector suits in the heavy class rather than the scout suits that seem to be prevelant for rewards? Such as a "Black Eagle Heavy" that has an equipment slot? |

Do Black Eagles even have "heavies" in their ranks? I mean, they're an intelligence agency tasked mostly with taking down internal threats. I guess their main focus would be assassinations and arrests of corrupt members of the Federation, not outright combat in the front lines.
Maybe you'll get BE Assault at best, and then Heavies will be Navy Issue officer gear. |

By the way with no slot to place a repair armor item has this suit IMHO being a see me in this suit only and thats it since battlefield use will only get me killed.

I thought the Gallente mindset was stick as much armor on it as possible, fit it with blasters and ram it, then throw endless waves of robotic minions at it till it dies?!

Not really, given there are no low mods. I have a Scout A series that sprints at 9.7.
I see it as a collector's item, something for people to show off but not use in combat. |

I used up one of my suits already but damn was it worth it. Now I wish CCP would release a Scout Type C with no low slots or equipment slots but two light weapon slots, except once you get to the "Vk. 2" which would have one low slot and equipment slot added. |

and i'll be first to contact you about them firebrand suits.. well if you could grab a screenie so i can make sure its right one. i bought a bunch of stuff in closed beta (early closed beta) but never had them back. i had the original gold/black suit and the pure white one (bone? was it?) so if anyone has any of them come see me and i'm sure i can work some trades over :D

I don't know if I'm willing to part with these suits, honestly...
BTW, the Firebrand are the gold/black, there is a white one (can't remember its name) and the Relics are the blue/black. I also have one of each of the other suit alt-colors, but I can't use them and again, prob not going to sell them anytime soon... |

Why this solution of giving 10 pcs after the event? For BPOs I can understand it, but why not make the suits part of the Salvage.
You win, you get 1 (one!) suit, in each Merc battle :p
Not that I mind getting 10 scout suits, but I'd rather fight for them... |
