I heard that they will reset everything for the full game release. Is this true?

No skill reset an the fact that the game has been released to 100% of potential customers. Clearly this game is sill in beta. /s

You heard incorrectly.

CCP have not said that it will happen and they certainly do not want it to happen.

What they have not done is completely rule it out. Every statement on the matter has a broad catch all caveat that means if they really thought it was in the best interests of the game to do some kind of a reset they could and they would. They would have to have really screwed the pooch to make that a reality. However, I lived through Incarna, so you can never rule anything out.

However, there are more likely scenarios. CCP have been completely silent on new player advantages or any levelling of the playing field once the game is released.

This could include things like higher SP at birth or increased earn rate until a player hits x SP.

We are already seeing a skill gap developing and there are threads on how pub stomping of new players is more common place.

Questions also remain on the effectiveness of matchmaking to resolve this - more so with this input peripheral nonsense.

So basically I'd be more concerned about others gain than your loss.

So don't mess up in your skills, everything counts.

Just a note, we've said we won't reset skill points to 0 (without a HUGE GIANT CURRENTLY-UNFATHOMABLE reason). There might still conceivably be a time where we reset skill point allocation.

Actually, I think CCP Eterne once hinted that the closest we might come to a tests will be a skills reset, meaning that we keep all our SP but will have to reallocate them. This will most likely happen anytime new skills are introduced.

They will need to do a reset. If they do not this is NOT a BETA. They use the word BETA only to hide the insecurities of their ability to make a game and keep up with consumer expectations. IF there is no reset to start things over on game release than the game is already OFFICIALLY released. There is no such thing releasing a product out of beta state that is already used and tested with finger prints still on product. Beta is used for testing the game and finding out glitches and preparing for the end product. There is no way in hell you can release something allowing game testers (beta testers) to keep everything they have earned in beta.

The only thing I could sympathize for the beta testers is that we get in return the money they have spent with merc packs they have bought or aur they have bought during BETA. Once more IF there is no plans on reset once the game is officially released than the game is NOT in BETA anymore it is OFFICIALLY RELEASED. So take off the this game is in beta and being worked on. Most games that are released are still being worked on. Stop using words like BETA just to lower expectations if this game is already released.

and xero this is quite clearly still a beta, the majority of the features haven't even been released yet and this is far from the quality a released product should have, i will state though that i don't think this game should have gone into open beta quite yet, way to early and gives people a poor impression of the game.
