Playing Dust is great. some things need improvement. I noticed that when your reloading your gun and you try to run, it stops the reload. Causing a big problem in firefights. Can we get this fixed? We can Jump and reload but not Run and Reload... Please vote your thoughts.
NO and keeping it like it is, YES to allow players to run and reload at the same time...
Thanks
I VOTE YES, FIX RELOAD AND RUN AT THE SAME TIME! |

Yes.
There's absolutely no reason we shouldn't be able to reload while running. I can't count (by now everyone here should know I just can't count) the times I'd take off running after the reload animation was finished only to realize that I wasn't actually done reloading and now I've got no ammo in my clip and a guy shooting at me. |

Supposedly coming, though its been since July since they said it was coming. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=323290#post323290 "[REQUEST] Reloading while running - This planned for in future updates"
There is no reason why it shouldn't happen. Its physically possible, especially with the muscle memory of an immortal merc that has thousands of lives worth of muscle experience and enhancements, though should be a bit slower than a stationary reload. Games like BF3 and Killzone 2 and 3 proved that it doesn't ruin gameplay, or cause balance issues either. This is one of those things people always complain about when its proposed, but no one actually will have a problem with once implemented.
Also, the reloading animation is out of sync with the actual reload completion; this is a major thing that messes up reloading for new players. |

YES. This is a feature that made KZ 2/3 run so fluidly. It doesn't matter in COD because the reload times are quick and you can start running before it's even over and you still GET the reload. I'm sick of getting screwed in crazy situations because I started to sprint during the last .001 seconds of my reload animation. |

I don't know about this, I think the sitting still and reloading gives you something more tactical to think about. Do I reload here in the middle of this open plain with a possible sniper shot only a second away or do I sprint for cover and hope nobody sees me so I can reload in safety?
The other side to this coin is that it would give everybody a much fairer chance of fighting back and winning against an attacker. You are out of bullets after killing a dude and some other red drops in front of you, what do you do? Switching to a sidearm might be okay but it would be better and safer to sprint away whilst reloading your main gun then turn around and try to outshoot the attacker, right? |

I've been playing tons of Battlefield 3 recently where you can sprint and reload and when I play Dust every time I start reloading I sprint and it cancels it :(
Also when I'm done reloading my AR is it really necessary to give it a few taps? I keep accidentally assuming the reload animation is finished and I sprint to an enemy to start firing where I then realize that I'm out of ammo... |

Also sprinting into cover when you see a heavy, and then try to flank them by sprinting to their blind side, is a good tactic. "Useless if you can't reload when sprinting"
I don't know how many times i sprinted into cover to avoid a heavy, just to come across a scout with a shotgun, and get kill in a couple of shots, just because i didn't have the "opportunity" to reload.
I say YES to this. |

Well I saw some "No" replies come up in this thread that I think I can fix, its mainly to the guy who said who wants a heavy to reload while he runs away same with forge gunners its the best time to kill them. Well obviously reloading while standing still would be easier over running and trying to cram a clip in to the chamber. So how about reducing running time by a small fraction and reducing reload time by a fraction it would also make the player bob around. Also heavys are naturally slow so if they ran and reloaded they wouldn't get very far. Situations can be versatile and while I don't think running and reloading is actually something versatile it is something convenient for players. |

I vote NO.
It removes a risk vs reward factor. Do you want to run away and risk bumping into someone with a small clip? Or do you want to attempt to reload risking that your pursuer may catch up to you? Makes the game more fun IMO.
EDIT: If they want to make it a skill that perhaps you can get at Level 5 Reload then perhaps I'd be open to that. |

I VOTE YES, FIX RELOAD AND RUN AT THE SAME TIME! I would only support this if the reload done while sprinting had a longer time attached to it. You shouldn't be able to run full-out and perform rapid reloads. |

Not required, forces thought when relocating, positively affects pace, and realistically would affect the speed of your sprinting, slowing you to a standard run anyway. |

Has anyone here play MAG??? that was the best run and gun game. Run and gun is the best ideas for dust here. People who vote no might not.of.played a real run and gun game where cover.is not always an option.... Reload on the run while jumping might look stupid but u can bet ur ass it will save ur dropsuits... I was just trying to get opinions on this since no one really brought up the issue... Thanks all for walking and reloading..... 0ICU8 |

YES please. Especially since the reload animation will often appear finished, but not "count", wasting both your reload time, and leaving you horribly unprepared. |

NO.
We already reload and run. Our normal movement speed is running we dont walk around the battlefield at a saunter. Well heavies do but they are fat armorplated doods.
What you want is reloading while sprinting. Where you are putting all of yohr effort into sprinting as fast as you possibly can
They are not the same thing. Reloading and sprinting are different in almost every game because its silly.
So no no a thousand times no. Reloading and sprintint should not happen simultaneously. |
