I personally like seeing all the new faces but then again the game feels like its gotten a bit easier due to newberries. Also I'm not so sure that it was ready to face an onslaught of console gamers who are used to highly polished games. I think alot might try it and decide it sucks based on Beta gameplay. (as made clear by spike of people hating on this game on forum)

What was there reasoning again to go open before this game wasn't a repetitive torture device? Kinda getting sick of seeing so much hate on DUST everywhere just because us closed vets destroyed everyone. For those that stayed - I have much respect for you. For those of us in closed beta - I have more respect for you then I'm willing to give normally.

I think over time it'll get much more competitive, but for now it seems a bit rough for the new guys. Also, I WANT MY ATLAS SUIT PLZ.

I've been digging the events that CCP's been putting on lately. Hoping to see more of that. Not very different for me, really. Although the constant "Nerf Heavy/HMG" threads are getting real irritating.

Yeah horrible hit detection, OP Tanks and Heavies, Huge lag spikes, invalid fittings and disconnects every other match was so fun and exciting; never new what glitch would happen next....

Positives: -new players Negative: - didn't give a new build -haven't fixes bugs that have been around for 6 months -have went on vacation 2x in last month, so problems still persist -still dont listen to the community (in regards to bugs) -STILL no dev-blogs -information is essentially non-existent (where look at PS2, they give their players A LOT of info on whats to come) - corp battles still 8v8 (even though tourny was 16v16) -still no new content so yeah, lots of negatives, but these have been persistent since E3. so essentially only good thing is the new players, as it allows us vets to really stat pad :P

I mean, PS2 has updates shown to them for next 4+ months. Plus if CCP is saying this is the unofficial-official release, they should talk with us and post more. Make dev blogs weekly on what is going on, make threads, etc. Seeing i've been here for 8 months, CCP keeps us all in the dark till 2-3 days before a new build. All we get is "soon", which is complete BS to be given at this stage. This game is missing SOOO much of what it is said to have. Essentially i think CCP needs to do a MUCH better job of communicating with us (the community).

Like many vets, I'm beginning to feel a sense of urgency. Simultaneously, I still have trust in CCP and hope for the future of the game. I've always treated 514 like a marathon - while still enjoying myself, I'm doing the best I can to raise interest in the game and keep a level head about the community and the direction/speed things are progressing in. TL;DR Trying to keep myself level and believe in CCP. Time Will Tell

Range sucks and accuracy sucks, and you probably do too if they're such a problem for you. AR's outrange HMG's, get out of the HMG's range and use that to your advantage, or go shoutgun and just strafe the hell out of them. Only thing that needs to get nerfed is your ability to complain.

The only unbalanced thing is folks running like headless chickens ripe for HMG or militia SMG harvesting.

The range on the HMG's is alright as far as I'm concerned (said as an assault player). The longer barrel and higher bullet velocity means it will have a long range. Now shutguns, those make me cry on the inside and on the ouside. I just hate the fact that I can unload half a clip in someone's head and then get killed by them in one shot. Which I hate one shot kill weapons to begin with.

Oh well shrugs all good things must end I guess.
